KC MedBridge Scholarship
When I first read this question, my immediate answer was I need the money for college, that's the reason I'm applying to this scholarship in the first place. But yesterday, I went to a family friend's housewarming party (the food was so good), and I talked with a graduating senior planning to attend UCR with a full scholarship. And I was like, "Oh! I have a head start since I'm already applying for scholarships!" The topic of scholarships made me think about WHY I'm doing this in the first place. "For college" is too vague an answer!
What I would do with the scholarship funds will all be put into efforts to improve my college resume and application. (I have BIG dreams hehe) It'll be put into any outside courses/certifications I want to earn outside of school (I have my eye on taking a Med Tech Certification Course at CWI). Any workshops/summer camps that give high schoolers an insight into what it's like as a Pre-Med major in college, what healthcare careers there are (I want to be a neurosurgeon, but I'd like to explore other medical careers too!)
Any extra money, however much or little, will be put into my college savings account, to hopefully help pay for my college tuition, room and board, etc.
