My name is Khloe Peltier. I was born and raised in Tennessee. I love animals, warm weather, the beach, family, friends, my boyfriend, pasta, TACOS, etc. :) My dream is to be a Neonatal NP. Working as (hopefully) a Neonatal NP will allow me to help new life that just came into the world in a matter of seconds.Every life that is born is precious, despite what is wrong with them. I want to make a difference in their lives from the very start. Scholarships are very important to me simply because I have wanted to pursue my future career since I was in 7th grade. Most people think your career choice will change in high school, however, I have been passionate about mine ever since. I do not want my parents to have to worry about paying for college just so I can live out my dream. There's nothing more in this world that I want than being successful and happy. I hope with enough scholarships, I will be able to make myself and my parents proud throughout my nursing career. I also have a minor in psychology because psychology is super interesting and I myself have struggled with mental health.

Noah Jon Markstrom Foundation Scholarship
My mom has been a nurse for a long time now. She started out working in the Emergency Room, moved to Rehab, and is currently a nurse at a Medical Home. I see the way she expresses her humanity and empathy towards her patients. It has really inspired me to help others in my future, however, I plan on working with newborns, not adults. Working as (hopefully) a Neonatal NP will allow me to help new life that just came into the world in a matter of seconds. I want to be able to help the newborns, especially the premature and sick ones, live to pursue a purpose in life. Their lives will be literally in the palm of my hands and it is up to me and my knowledge to make them better. It takes a lot of strength and patience when working with NICU babies. There will be ones hooked up to a million wires or ones that have certain birth defects. Every life that is born is precious, despite what is wrong with them. My parents deserve to use their hardworking money for themselves. Scholarships would allow me to go to college without having a major load on my parents. They would influence my life more than anything because I would get the opportunity I have always wanted for myself. There's nothing more in this world that I want than being successful and happy. I hope with enough scholarships, I will be able to make myself and my parents proud throughout my nursing career.
