Technology keeps moving forward, always getting better every year. It's like the open sea, full of opportunities. Not too late to explore the world, not too early to reach for the stars. Right now is the perfect time to see how new tech grows and makes amazing things happen. I originally wanted to make video games. My teacher was super passionate about it, which got me interested. But then I found something even cooler at Neumont College of Computer Sciences. I'm in the robotics club there, and I'm excited to use that knowledge in the future. AI is also super interesting to me. It's like it's opening up a whole new world of possibilities. One aspect that particularly excites me is the potential to contribute to the development of autonomous systems that enhance safety and efficiency across various industries. Imagine designing robots capable of undertaking hazardous tasks in environments such as power plants or factories, mitigating risks for human workers and increasing productivity. This idea of creating technology that can take care of the big dangers, so people can focus on enjoying life, really drives me. I dream of making robots that make life easier and safer for everyone. Like ones that can handle dangerous jobs, or even simple things like watering your plants while you're away. Life moves fast, and it can be scary. But if I can take care of the big stuff, maybe more people can enjoy the little things in life. I believe I am the best candidate for receiving this scholarship for several reasons. Firstly, I share a common passion with Chris for technology and fostering meaningful relationships with others. Balancing a 25-hour work week with full-time STEM studies is challenging, especially when it comes to managing college expenses alongside monthly bills. However, I persevere because I am driven by a desire to support my grandmother, who has always been a pillar of support for me. Despite facing her own challenges, she worked tirelessly every week to ensure we had food on the table. I am determined to repay her kindness by taking care of her once I finish my schooling, just as she took care of me. This sense of responsibility and dedication to my family fuels my motivation to excel academically and professionally. I am committed to leveraging the opportunities provided by this scholarship to further my education and contribute positively to my community. I want to express my sincere gratitude for considering me for this scholarship opportunity. It means a great deal to me, and I am truly honored to be considered. Thank you for your time and consideration.

In envisioning the future, my dream job stands clear: to be at the forefront of AI and robotics, specifically developing systems that enhance safety in high-risk work environments and emergency services. The idea of creating intelligent robots capable of navigating hazardous situations, thereby safeguarding human lives, fuels my passion. I’m captivated by the potential of AI-driven machines in revolutionizing fields like chemical handling, precision agriculture, and emergency response – making them not just efficient but safe. Currently, I'm diligently laying my foundation in this field through comprehensive computer science classes. These classes are my stepping stones, providing the essential knowledge of programming and algorithms – the core of any sophisticated AI and robotic system. My next stride involves delving deeper into the realm of AI, where I plan to immerse myself in learning about machine learning and neural networks. This specialized knowledge is crucial for my aspiration to develop robots that can intelligently and safely handle high-risk tasks. Parallel to my academic pursuits, my active participation in the college robotics club is the practical aspect of my journey. This involvement is not merely an academic complement; it's a hands-on experience hub where I apply classroom theories to real-world scenarios. Building, programming, and troubleshooting robots here is preparing me for the challenges and intricacies of my future career. In synthesizing the theoretical knowledge from my academic path with the practical skills acquired from the robotics club, I envision myself gradually transforming into the professional I aspire to be. My goal is to translate my passion and learning into developing tangible AI and robotic solutions that prioritize safety in critical work and emergency response environments. My deepest condolences, I have no idea how it is to lose someone so close to you. I have one person in my life that I don't know what I would do if I ever lose them. I bet he is happy on how strong you guys are for moving on. Even though we my never be ready to move on. I guess it comes with time. I bet he was a amazing person and would be very interested in talking with me for hours about the new AI advancement and what type of cool robotic came out. Thank you again for this opportunity for this step into my education and again my deepest condolences from my heart. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣤⣄⣀⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡏⠀⠈⠉⠁⠹⡆⠀⣀⣄⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣶⠖⠶⣤⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣷⠟⠉⠁⢹⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⡴⠏⠀⠀⠈⠻⣆⠀⠀⢀⡾⠁⠀⠀⠀⠈⠛⡆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢻⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⡷⠛⠻⣧⡀⠀⠀⣀⣠⠾⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠛⣶⣦⡤⠴⣿⠀⠀⠀⠈⡟⠛⠛⠛⠷⢦⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣴⠛⠉⠀⠀⠀⠛⣦⣄⣠⣾⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠻⣦⠀⠀⠀⠀⣰⡏⠀⠀⠀⢻⣄⡀⠀⠀⣴⠛⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⣄⣀⣤⠞⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣯⠙⠳⠖⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠀⠀⢻⣄⣀⣄⡀⢠⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⢿⠉⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣤⡶⠶⠶⠶⠦⢤⣄⡀⠀⠀⢸⡆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⡙⠳⣤⣀⠀⠀⠈⠙⢶⣄⢸⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢷⡀⠀⠉⠓⢦⣄⡀⠀⠙⢦⣷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⢦⣀⠀⠀⠈⠙⠳⢤⡈⢿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠓⠶⢤⣤⣀⣠⣽⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⣆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠕⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I've always been interested in new technology and had a curiosity for learning and creating things since I was a kid. I wasn't much of a programmer during my childhood, but when I entered high school, my fascination with programming started to grow. I even joined a club called FBLA on a bet; it was a club centered around business topics. One day, we had a significant regional event, and I had to deliver a sales pitch. That day, I attended my game development class where my teacher showcased his own game. It was a solitary game, but he used AI-generated card images. I found it pretty cool and decided to research more about it. I stumbled upon a neat website called Night Cafe that offered such capabilities. So, I based my entire sales pitch on the website, discussing how we could utilize it for things like 3D designs, concept art, enhancing selfies, or refining any photo with creative ideas. I was incredibly passionate about it, and that's when I realized I wanted to pursue it as a career. Subsequently, I delved into understanding how this art was actually created, starting with learning basic concepts like machine learning. I also aimed to incorporate this technology into video games since, at the time, game development was still my focus. After conversing with my teacher, he guided me in learning more about AI engineering and the tools I could use. One language that proved extremely useful was C#, which worked perfectly since I was already using Unity, which employs C#. One of the projects I'm currently working on involves training dogs when their owners are not at home. My girlfriend's host mom frequently fosters dogs, and it can be quite challenging to train them. This led me to conceptualize a solution. I initially started with a small camera, eventually upgrading to a webcam to streamline the process. My goal was to utilize facial recognition technology to identify a dog's behavior. The AI system would learn to distinguish good behaviors from undesirable ones based on visual cues. Additionally, I'm designing a treat dispenser that rewards the dog for performing the correct actions, such as the "croquet movement." To initiate the dog's interaction, I'll employ a bell sound, similar to Pavlov's experiment, conditioning the dog to respond to the sound. Following this, my plan is to introduce an AI capable of using your voice, allowing the dog to become accustomed to your commands even when you're not present. You can set a schedule for training, and the AI, along with a small camera, will help teach the dog basic movements like sit, stay, turn, and more advanced commands over time. The inception of this idea occurred one night as I was about to fall asleep, and it seemed like a fantastic concept. Hopefully, with the assistance of this scholarship, I'll be able to delve deeper into AI engineering and make a more significant impact than just helping dogs with basic commands. Thank you immensely for granting me this opportunity!

I grew up without a father and in a low-income household. It was tough, but I was determined to overcome my living conditions. I worked hard in school and try to get scholarships to college. I also got a part-time job to help pay for my tuition. My grandmother was my biggest role model and a very big influence in my life. It hurt to see my grandma struggle. She's always been such a strong and independent woman, and it was hard to see her having trouble financially. It was even harder knowing that there was nothing I could do to help her. She gave me dreams and admission on being the better man my dad never was. I wanted to work hard even through the hard times when I didn't feel like fighting. I've been fighting for most of my life and I don't want my loves to fight any harder than they need to if I can help. For most of my life, I didn't know what i wanted to do for my life. It was a stressful thing not having your life planned out and everyone else around you seems to have it all worked out. I thought I wasn't going to accomplish much in my life and find a job that pays the bills but doesn't seem to benefit me or the world. Then I found someone that helped me figure out what I loved most and helped me figure out a plan. I love video games ever since I could remember and I always had a thing about geeking out on narration and story design. It help me figure out what I wanted to do and didn't feel so lost like I was being left behind. I want to go into game development or else AI engineering because I think AI is so cool and so fascinating how it works. The last thing I want to say is that I am so thankful that I have supportive people that cheer me on my way. I don't think i would have made it at all to the mind and physical place I am now without. I also want to say thank you for giving me a chance for getting closer to my dreams and help relieve some of the financial stress on my shoulder with the chance you are giving me. Thank you so much again.
