Bio

As the oldest sibling in my family, I have always understood that my actions set the example for those who look up to me. That responsibility has shaped me into someone who values hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Being a student-athlete has strengthened my discipline, resilience, and ability to overcome challenges while balancing academics, athletics, and family responsibilities. My journey has taught me that success isn’t measured only by achievements, but by the impact you have on others. I strive to encourage my siblings to dream big, work hard, and never give up, just as I continue to do every day. As I begin this next chapter in college, I am excited to continue growing as a student, athlete, and leader. I hope to use my education and experiences to create opportunities not only for myself, but for my family too.

Growing up as the oldest sibling has shaped who I am in more ways than I can count. From an early age, I realized that my younger brothers were always watching me, learning from my actions, and looking to me for guidance. That responsibility has motivated me to work hard, make good decisions, and set an example they can be proud of. They inspire me every day to become the best version of myself, and they are one of the biggest reasons I am determined to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Technology has always fascinated me, but my passion became even more meaningful as I watched my little brothers enjoy playing video games together. Seeing the excitement, laughter, and creativity those games bring into their lives sparked a dream of my own—to one day create video games that kids like my brothers will love to play. I want to design games that are not only entertaining but also encourage imagination, teamwork, problem-solving, and learning. I believe video games have the power to bring people together, inspire creativity, and even teach valuable life skills, and I want to be part of creating experiences that make a positive impact. Being a student athlete has also played a major role in preparing me for the future. Athletics have taught me discipline, resilience, time management, and the importance of teamwork. Balancing practices, competitions, academics, and family responsibilities has shown me that success requires commitment, perseverance, and the willingness to keep pushing forward even when things become difficult. Those lessons will continue to guide me throughout college and my career. My education in Computer Science will give me the opportunity to turn my passion into a career while also giving back to my community. I hope to mentor young students who are interested in technology, especially those who may not believe a career in STEM is possible for them. I want to volunteer at youth programs, speak to students about the opportunities available in technology, and encourage the next generation to dream bigger than they ever imagined. Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you to change your future, and I hope to be that person for someone else. My family has always been my greatest source of inspiration. Their love, encouragement, and sacrifices remind me that every opportunity I receive is something I should never take for granted. I want to honor those sacrifices by working hard, earning my degree, and using my success to create opportunities for others. My vision for the future is about more than building a successful career. I want to use my education to create technology that inspires people, solves problems, and brings families together. Whether I am developing innovative software, designing video games that spark creativity, or mentoring future programmers, I hope my work leaves a lasting impact. Most importantly, I want my younger brothers to see that with faith, determination, and hard work, no dream is too big to achieve. If I can inspire them and others to believe in themselves and pursue their passions, then I will know I have made a meaningful difference.
