I am someone who wants to share my gifts and what I have learned over the years with others. I have been passionate about music since I started in 2014. I love what I do and don't see myself doing anything else. I enjoy being on stage, and I know I'll be able to move people with my gift while also being able to share my knowledge with the next generation. It is a huge honor and a privilege.

Grant Woolard Memorial Scholarship
From 2014-18 I was a student at an after-school program for the arts. During my time I studied music in Hip-Hop and Choir classes. I've learn multiple instruments, better singing techniques, and to be more confident onstage. The program was heavily based on live instrument performances and vocal techniques. But after I graduated from high school, I noticed that the class wasn't getting as much attention and funding as the other classes were. There were fewer performances, they weren't pushing live music as much anymore, and the teachers changed a lot. See this I started thinking of creating an after-school music program for students who wanted to take music seriously. In the meantime, I want to further my music career and create music that speaks to people.
I have been able to find myself in music, not just western music but lots of foreign music too. Music has helped me find my style (Music and Fashion wise) and helped me through the terrible mental state I tend to gravitate toward. I want to be able to do that for others. I want the be able to write music that speaks to people to help them through a tough time as music has done for me.
Whether it's teaching the next generation what I have learned through my musical journey or creating something to brighten someone's day.

My name is Keziah Shallowhorn. I am 21 years old, and I go to school for Music Production at Los Angeles Film School. My interest in music started at the age of 14 when I started going to an after-school program called Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT for short). I didn't exactly know what I wanted to do at the time, so I decided to participate in many of the programs there such as Photography, Film, and Art. The music program stuck with me the most. At BCAT I learned to play multiple instruments, use the better technique when singing, and feel more confident performing on stage.
After graduating High School I volunteered as an assistant teacher in the said music program. During my time, there I noticed that the class wasn't getting as much attention and funding as the other classes were. There were fewer performances, they weren't pushing live music as much anymore, and the teachers changed a lot. See this I started thinking of creating an after-school music program for students who wanted to take music seriously. In the meantime, I want to further my music career and create music that speaks to people.
