I’m a scholar-athlete who leads with heart, discipline, and purpose. As a Secondary Education major with a concentration in Biology at Greenville University, I’m passionate about shaping future classrooms where every student feels seen and empowered. On campus, I play on the men’s volleyball team and continue to develop as both a student and a leader.
In high school, I was honored with the Christian Leadership Award, Walther Christian Athlete Award, John Philip Sousa Band Award, and the Music Appreciation Academic Excellence Award — recognitions that reflect my dedication to academics, the arts, athletics, and character. I’ve deepened my commitment to education through classroom observations and mentoring roles, including coaching middle schoolers in basketball fundamentals and serving as a Community Service Chair at Kentucky State.
Whether in the classroom, on the court, or in my community, I’m driven by service, leadership, and the belief that every student deserves a mentor who believes in them. My goal is to become a dynamic educator and, one day, an administrator who creates spaces where students thrive and grow.

I used to think school was just something you had to get through. Sitting in class, staring at the clock, I felt like I was going through the motions. My grades reflected my boredom and I wondered if I’d ever find something that truly inspired me. Everything changed the day my biology teacher started storytelling about penguins and how traits are passed. Suddenly, science wasn’t just a subject but a story waiting to be told. That excitement carried me, and it was also fueled by the support of my volleyball coach, who believed in me even when I did not believe in myself.
When I started biology, I expected lectures, homework, and tests. My teacher had a completely different approach. She began each class by asking how we were doing and building in time for mental breaks. Her lessons were hands-on and every project connected to something real. It wasn’t just about memorizing facts but about seeing how biology shaped the world around us. I could tell she loved teaching, and that made me love learning. Her class taught me that education could be fun, creative, and meaningful – and that’s the environment I want to create for my future students.
This experience helped me see the kind of educator I plan to be. I’m attending Greenville University, majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology. I aim to create a classroom where students feel seen, heard, and excited to learn. I want to make science relatable just like my teacher did for me.
In addition to my experiences in the classroom, I’ve had the opportunity to observe real classrooms in action. These observations give me a deeper understanding of the dynamics between students and teachers. It also allowed me to see a supportive, creative educator's impact firsthand. It confirms that teaching isn’t just about delivering content but it’s about building relationships, creating connections, and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
By fostering an environment of creativity, hard work, and support, I’m determined to make a lasting impact – both in the classroom and in the community. The journey ahead is exciting, and I’m embracing it. I know that the future I’m working toward is one where every student can thrive.
