Nowadays people think that because women have rights they now do what they like, but there are some women that still can’t do what they want even if they have rights now, like going to school. Most of us women we want to make a change we are just looking for how to. Sometimes we go to school but actually don’t have money to pay for the tuition. I want to keep going to school but there are some obstacles in my way , but either way I will walk my head up high through them because I know what I want. I am a black women who was born in this world today and every day I have to face different problems either in my work place or anywhere in public. They identify me from my skin color but when I tell them about my plans for my future they identify me from my skills. There are different ways we all deal with problems in a work place. Many like to fight to solve their problems, but did you really know that when u fight with them it shows that you are no better than them? Even if you won the fight, it doesn’t matter. There are those times when women can’t do something because they are women and they don’t know how to do it better than men. Some work places think that only men are needed in this work place not women, because they can’t do men’s work. We carry children for nine months, we give birth to them, we raise them, so what can men do that we can’t do? Obviously women can do what men can’t do. Sometimes only skills are necessary, not the way a person identify themselves. Not only is racism and sexism but it is also classism. In a work place there’s the employee and the employer. The one who has power over the other is the employer. Sometimes you have problems with the employer but the people who are supposed to solve your problem are in favor of the employer. Women face that kind of problem all the time. Either you have been harassed by the employer but still the justice favors the employer. Just because we are in the lower or working class doesn’t mean you can walk on us like you want, because there’s one time we’ll be in the upper class and we’ll be equal. When I am at my work place even if you disrespect me because I am a woman, I walk with my head up high and work harder, because I am proud to be a woman and I know my goals. One day you’ll see me in a higher position and remember how you treated me just because I am a woman.
