Bio

I'm a college student at ACHS. I'm working on my B.S. in Holistic Nutrition with certifications in aromatherapy, herbal studies, holistic nutrition consultancy, homeopathy consultation, and natural product manufacturing. I've always enjoyed nutrition and wellness. It was holistic practices that always came through for me, so this is where I decided to focus my attention. Since I’ve learned how to interconnect my needs and balance the dimensions of my own wellness, I can now live in the moment happily and connected.

I was inspired to see this opportunity come across my scholarship board. As a student of nutrition and an aspiring Certified Holistic Nutritionist, I consider it my duty to educate others about the importance of their health. This includes diet, exercise, and happiness. I intend to carry out this responsibility, whether it involves a client, a friend, or even a stranger online. I grew up in a rural area, surrounded by farms and farmer's markets. My parents instilled in me the importance of eating sustainable, whole foods. They were always physically active and took care of their health. Their influence led to my career choice today. However, that hasn't always been the same values I practiced. On a personal level, I've experienced the consequences of neglecting my body's needs. I've failed to provide it with adequate nutrition and overlooked the importance of both my physical and mental well-being. I've taken my health for granted. Despite eventually doing everything required to maintain my vitality, I've faced health issues that were only overcome by consistently nourishing and exercising my body properly. It was through these challenges that I rediscovered my path to holistic nutrition. Many people do not know the significant role nutrition plays in our health until it is too late. I aim to begin by raising awareness via popular and easily accessible channels. This includes creating infographics, short video clips, flyers, and concise educational posts on social media platforms. To craft content that truly makes a difference, it must be approached with thoughtfulness. The material should be impactful, yet it must avoid being overwhelming. Often, people have the information they need and already know what is good and bad for them; they need help embodying the information. That's what I aim to focus my content on, practical application. Another plan of mine is to provide free nutrition workshops. These will take place in person and be recorded to be posted online on my website. I want to volunteer my services to the public through county or state agencies to help educate families on simple, healthy, cost-effective meal planning and grocery shopping. Assisting individuals in interpreting food labels and recognizing that purchasing the most expensive produce isn't necessary for maintaining health will be a crucial part of learning how to shop for groceries. Cost, time, and convenience are large factors in people's meal choices today. You don't have to sacrifice one for another. A long-term goal of mine is to own my own business once I complete my Master's degree and gain experience. In the meantime, once I receive my Bachelor's degree, I aspire to be a health and nutrition coach. I'm eager to assist individuals in discovering their own motivation for health. While true inspiration originates internally, external factors such as family, health challenges, and the desire to explore can serve as powerful catalysts. Through my degree, I want to share my education. Health isn't something to be selfish about. It is a powerful resource that can bring strength, joy, and unity. Thank you for this opportunity and for offering an inspiring essay submission. I offer my condolences. I lost both my paternal grandparents due to cancer. I have great admiration for what you're doing in memory of your daughter.
