Design is one of the most important aspects of my life. Every single one of my interests is rooted in my love for design. Thinking about how everyday surroundings have been painstakingly picked over to create it as we see it, is a very profound aspect of life. The meaning that you can imbue into art and design makes it such a flexible and powerful tool to communicate. You can use it to send a message, show who you are as a person, or create a culture. My intention has always been to pursue a career in design, whether that be in fashion, architecture, or fine arts. I want to think critically about our current world and how I can improve it. Being able to express myself in such a direct and tangible way is how I’ve been able to bring joy to so many around me. Growing up in a household where both of my parents are entrepreneurs, I was raised with the mindset of creating something of my own as a top priority. I consistently make an effort to stand out and make a brand that is synonymous with me as a person. I want to surround myself with people who want to build something larger than themselves, and being in a community like that would challenge my own art and design, and push me to grow and improve myself.
