“Burn the Boats” is a quote derived from Hernán Cortés that means if you are in a situation you burn all forms of retreat until the only option left is to succeed. It means committing fully, sparking profound creativity, pushing past conventional limits daring to innovate. Whether in the classroom or in extracurricular activities, I face challenges with an all-or-nothing approach, ensuring I leave no stone unturned and no idea unexplored. I believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship. As an entrepreneur, I want to create financial educational programs and resources specifically for people of color. These will cover budgeting, saving, investing, and managing credit. I will make sure the programs are easy to understand and relatable, using examples that resonate with the audience. By improving financial literacy, we can help entire communities escape poverty and empower individuals to take control of their financial futures and build wealth for their families. By embracing the "Burn the Boats" philosophy, I commit entirely to each challenge, fostering an environment where innovative solutions can flourish.
