My life goals are to achieve my dreams that I have for myself in life, graduating from my community college to graduating with a bachelor's degree to possibly internships that could lead me to job in the future . I am passionate about my family, education, helping other's in need whether less fortunate or volunteering my time, I am also passionate on a personal level about modeling. I would be a great candidate due to coming from a single parent household my mother has done an a outstanding job for providing for me over the years but with me transferring out of state I would like to take some of the load with finances. Also these funds will not be in vain whether for books, tuition, or school activities.

I am currently a 20-year-old Undergraduate African American female student getting my education at a two-year institution, American River College in Sacramento, California. My goal is to transfer to a four year by the Fall of 2022. Even though I will already be transferred I will complete all the necessary courses I need to, to receive my associate's degree in Social Science by 2023 from American River College. The degree I plan on obtaining at a four-year institution is Criminal Justice or Public Policy with an emphasis on Criminology.
An obstacle I faced in my life would have been battling through my minor depression which came about during my sophomore year of high school. I was worried so I decided to see a therapist then and I continue to this day. It stemmed from insecurities from being bullied, my father's death as a child, my mother and mines relationship, and lastly my car accident junior year. All these experiences showed me that I can overcome anything life throws at me, to show that all these trials and tribulations helped me grow as a person. As well as I shouldn't give up. I keep fighting to reach my goals to get my degree, reach my full potential, and make myself and my family proud. During these trying times, I would see these obstacles as a negative but as I got older I've grown to see these were positives because I wouldn't be the person I am today and I am eternally grateful.
