Career hopes give you something to strive for, something to look forward too, So that’s why I think it’s important to have them. Some of my career hopes is being able to work at a BMW dealership and to open my own auto shop for the community. Most people know mechanic shops to be scams and dishonest, so I wanna be the difference. i want to make an auto shop that’s honest and reliable. One of my main reasons, why I want to open a shop is because my parents. My parents grew up in a neighborhood where they were too scared to take their car anywhere because they didn’t have money to fix it or buy anything that the mechanics recommended. So when I told them my goal they were happy, supportive and wishing for the best as long as I made a difference in the community which I plan to do. While I save money to open my shop I want to work at a BMW dealership or something related to performance. In August 25, 2025, I will be going to Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and once I finish my core training I will be doing their BMW program which will focus on BMW, which I can not wait. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved BMW cars, so it was a no brainer going to UTI for their BMW program. Another reason why I love BMW is because my brother would tell me has his dream car and his dream career when I was a kid, but unfortunately he couldn’t make it happen but when I told him what I wanted to do which so happened to be his dream career, he got excited and has supported me all the way through so far (his dream car so happens to be a BMW car). My brother has also been one of the reasons why I try so hard, he’s been a great role model, teacher, and someone who can give you advice on anything. So I kinda feel like I’m paying him back by going down this career path. My major hopes in my career and the automotive industry is to be able to work in a BMW dealership while I get the money to open my shop and change the community perspective on how they see shops and I couldn’t have made it this far without my brother and some other great mentors. Thank you for reading my scholarship. May God bless you.

I believe that having academic or professional goals is the best since they give you something to work on and something to achieve, so I think having goals is a necessity. Some of my academic goals are to graduate from high school. I've had this goal ever since I was a little kid and I've tried my hardest to carry through that goal. Another academic goal I have is to achieve Student Of The Year. I really wanna get this award because its something I've been working hard to get and I truly believe I could win it. Some personal goals I have is to open my own auto shop and give back to my community through it. Most mechanic shops are known to try to scam or are very dishonest, but I wanna make a difference when I open mine, I want to make affordable, honest, and reliable and I'll do anything to achieve that goal of mine. One other personal goal I have, is to work at a BMW dealership while trying to save up money to open my business. I've always been in love with their cars, and I love learning and seeing them and I'm more excited than ever because I'm entering Universal Technical Institute (UTI) on August 25, 2025, and they have a program focused on BMW that I will join once I finish my core training. Some ways I've given back to my community are by volunteering by being a tutor for kids falling behind. This really opened my eyes to see how creative and smart some kids are, and I really enjoyed doing and I can see myself do it again. Another way I gave back to my community is at my church, and I would go around picking up any trash we saw, and we would pray for people who wanted to, and that includes people who are sick, in a rough time, or anyone who wanted to be part of the prayer. I really enjoyed being a part of this since I do consider myself of a man of faith and I would one hundred percent do it again. Helping my community has inspired me to try to make a difference in our world. By inspiring our next generation, I want kids to be able to have resources and mentors in life, and that's one of the reasons why I want to have my own shop. After it's all said and done, I would want my shop to be able to help kids learn more about the automotive industry and inspire them to make change, just like how I had mentors that inspired and supported me. One other difference I wanna make in the world is to fund scholarships later on, I want to make scholarships for kids who would want to go into the auto industry and help them through it. My main goal in life is to impact people's lives and help them see that goals shouldn't be dreams but instead as a target. That's why my goals are to impact the next generation. I also wanna say thank you for allowing me to participate in this. May God bless you.

My name is Kendrick Vazquez, and I’m currently enrolled to go to UTI in August 2025. My passion ever since I was a little kid is cars, whether that’s modding them, keeping it classic, or doing ridiculous stuff, but there was always something that I would’ve wanted to change, and that just pushed me to try to reach my goal of becoming an auto mechanic and hopefully have my own shop that can and will help the community. One thing about me is that I always try to give out or help out in any way, and that’s what I want to do with my dream shop. Seeing these opportunities with scholarships and the opportunities that God has given me only pushes me harder and makes me work harder towards my dream, and I really do believe that I can do it. But the only challenges that I’m facing are financial problems, but I really do think that I can overcome anything that I put my hard work, dedication, and time into. There were some points in my life that I did begin to think that it’s gonna stay a dream and that I wouldn’t be able to achieve my goal until I entered an automotive class and met some amazing teachers that pushed, helped, and encouraged me to follow my dreams. They also gave me amazing advice and really helped me, and they even helped me enroll myself into UTI, and I will always be grateful for them, and I always try to show my gratitude for them. With all the encouraging of my teachers and family, it rekindled the light in me and made me push even harder. Another great mentor for me was my brother. My brother has always wanted to become a technician, but he sadly couldn’t, so when he heard that I wanted to be a technician, he fully supported me and helped me in every single way just to help me achieve my dream. Now I push myself to learn, understand, and think in new ways and become more open-minded. I really do think it’s a very good way to live, especially in this type of field, because you never know if someone has a new strategy or an easier and more efficient way to do the same thing. So I mainly try to be humble and always accept advice and opinions. Finally, I encourage everyone to be more open-minded and always try to act humble because you never know when someone gives you very useful advice that you might need in your life.Thank you for the opportunity to apply for this scholarship, and thank you for reading my story.

People say that goals after high school remain as dreams, as no one ever accomplishes their dreams, and I’m trying to prove them wrong. My goal for the future is to become a BMW technician and become one of the best there is. I’ve always been in love with these cars and learning more about them, and that's what I’ve devoted my future to. On August 25, 2025, I start trade school at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Arizona, and I couldn’t be more excited as I’ve heard good things about this institute that will help me learn and reach my goal of becoming a technician and hopefully working for BMW or at least a dealership for BMW. Just thinking about it makes me more eager for my future, as I hope I will be prepared to become one. One thing I know for sure is that I can never stop learning new things, and that’s one thing I love about this profession, as I can never stop learning and always be expanding my knowledge to be as smart as I possibly can. I truly believe that everyone should be the best version of themselves, and that’s what I’m trying to be for myself. I really do believe my goals and my education are a huge step in this process because without goals, you can’t aim for anything, and without education, you would never learn how to reach those goals. Another big step in accomplishing my goal is to try harder than I ever have, and I’m fully aware of that and will give it my all. I’ve always been a kid who tries to accomplish what other people can’t or won’t and tries to persevere over everything and anything. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been giving everything my all, and it mainly started when I was in elementary school and tried out for some math teams. Once I joined and got 1st place, I was more competitive than ever. This wasn’t just when I was a kid; even now at my job, I try to learn more and become a better employee. I truly believe that’s one thing you must have when you’re trying to achieve your goals: you have to have motivation and try to come out on top.
