I am a black woman. I am strong, resilient, and compassionate. I got an opportunity to come live in the United States when I was 12 years old, while my mother and the rest of my family is still in Haiti. Life was difficult while trying to raise myself to be a fighter and to be confident. I am passionate about nursing. It's more than a career for me. It's who I am. I do not want to let financial circumstances get in the way of my dream. My dream is to become an ICU nurse and eventually a pediatric nurse practitioner. I want to mentor young dreamers like me and show them that achieving their dreams is possible and hard work pays off.
