During and before my attendance at Webster University, I overcame many extreme mental challenges in order to pursue a career in marketing. These aspirations, along with my friends and family, drive me to fight Anorexia Nervosa and Depression and academically succeed.
One of my biggest motivations is the passion project I have been working on: Anime Corner LLC, which I created with three other executives as the Social Media Head. With innovation, tons of effort, and some sleepless nights, we reached an amazing current #58,826 Alexa ranking and over 2 million combined followers on Facebook. My dream to be a marketer for an ethical company drove me to become a leader myself, and I aspire to either work for Anime Corner as a career or in another socially beneficial organization.

Bold Success Scholarship
Ever since I posted on social media fanpages at the age of 13 and felt the joy of building an audience, I have been interested in marketing and knew I had a lot of potential in the field. In high school, I learned about ethics in many different industries and countries and became passionate about helping the world.
When I became 18, I was invited to work as the Social Media Head and executive for the same organization that owned those fanpages from my early teen years: Anime Corner LLC. The anime news and media company is now at an amazing #58,826 Alexa ranking with over 2 million combined followers on Facebook after having only 300,000 followers when I re-joined in mid-2020.
My experiences with all of the above has only enhanced my belief in myself and my passion for marketing. While there is a chance Anime Corner does not work out in the future, my overall career goal is to help promote an organization that does good for others - whether it's in human resources, health, entertainment, or social justice.
One of the most important steps in reaching this is honing my practical knowledge by earning a degree at Webster University. The Bold Success Scholarship would help me immensely with my goals and allow me to truly focus on them following graduation. In order to reach this goal, I will learn to the best of my ability at Webster and take every opportunity to grow that I can, as well as make use of all my available resources and maintain the same integrity embedded in my career thus far.
Focus Forward Scholarship
Ever since I posted on social media fanpages at the age of 13 and felt the joy of building an audience, I have been interested in marketing and knew I had a lot of potential in the field. When I was 15, I began selling sustainable clothing with my parents in an online shop called Fits For Misfits, which I promoted and grew on my own to earn money for college. At the same time, I learned about ethics in many different industries and countries and became passionate about helping the world, earning a humble $600 in a fundraiser for Black Lives Matter under Fits for Misfits.
When I became 18, I was invited to work as the Social Media Head and executive for the same organization that owned those fanpages from my early teen years: Anime Corner LLC. The anime news and media company has dramatically grown since then, and is now at an amazing #58,826 Alexa ranking with over 2 million combined followers on Facebook after having only 300,000 followers when I re-joined in mid-2020.
Not only are the statistics promising, but I have also made sure to incorporate our shared values of ethics and transparency in all aspects of our work. It's amazing to know that the content I produce can make a positive difference on so many people and we have a large role in spreading the love for anime.
My experiences with all of the above has only enhanced my belief in myself and my passion for marketing. While there is a chance Anime Corner does not work out in the future, my overall career goal is to help promote an organization that does good for others - whether it's in human resources, health, entertainment, or social justice.
I aspire to incorporate my marketing skills into a job that allows me to benefit the world. One of the most important steps in reaching this is honing my practical knowledge by earning a degree at Webster University. Ever since I developed this dream in high school, I worked extremely hard as an honor student to earn scholarships in college. However, in today's world, it is still not enough for me to graduate without being neck deep in college debt. The Focus Forward Scholarship would help me immensely with my goals and allow me to truly focus on them following graduation. In order to reach this goal, I will learn to the best of my ability at Webster and take every opportunity to grow that I can, as well as make use of all my available resources and maintain the same integrity embedded in my career thus far.
