When I was 15 I injured my back while enrolled in sports at my high school. While several doctors could not seem to give me relief, a bright shining light burst in. A Massage therapist. She inspired me not just in pain relief, or my personal recovery. It was her ability to do this for so many individuals. This experience set me on the path towards the trade industry. I have always had a love for holistic healing. Before enrolling at the Academy of Natural Healing, I was trained in other various healing methods. However the massage therapist who helped me, was in the back of my mind always. It was my mentor who encouraged me to peruse this trade. So I went off to start my journey. During my time in school, many voices around me mentioned their chronic or new pain. Of course this struck me deeply and propelled my ambitions to become a well rounded Massage Therapist. ( many of these voices are from people in trades as well, I have come to realize the taxation trades have on the body. I feel strong kinship with these individuals ) Freedom to be my own boss; it is my ultimate goal to open up a wellness center. I know that my education, and extra classes such as “ business and spa management “ are giving me a solid foundation to build off of. At my wellness center I wish to employ other professionals to offer the public a well rounded experience- empowering them towards health in all areas of their lives. I am so grateful for my education so far, my personal mentor who helped get the ball rolling towards my career goals, and of course the woman who started it all. The massage therapist who ignited a flame in my soul, who inspired me to pursue the noble trade of Massage Therapy.
