Raise Me Up to DO GOOD Scholarship
My name is Kayden Daniels and I am a Senior at Northside High. I am on the varsity cheer team and I am also apart of Beta Club and National Honor society. I am a shy person when first getting to know people but very observant and hard working. Growing up in a middle class family is like living in two different worlds. When I was younger me and my mom would always go shopping and weekend trips out of town. As I got older much of that stopped and became movies and pedicures at home. Arguing over overdue bills lead my parents to divorce and put my mom into even more of a financial strain. Seeing my mom constantly stressing about how she was going to pay bills every month hurt me therefore, she is my most important reason for going to college. I am very committed to going to and graduating college not only because of my mom but because of my entire family. Everyone in my family has worked hard their entire lives, and given me everything I needed. I would love to help them stop working and retire to live the life they deserve, it would mean everything to me and them. After graduating with my bachelors in nursing I will start off as an Intensive care unit nurse. After getting the required hours I need I will apply to nurse anesthetist school and obtain my certification. I will then go to work as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Not only do I plan to help my family live their dream lives, I also plan on opening multiple assist living houses for them and the community when they are not able to be alone anymore. Many elderly people are afraid of going to nursing homes or into assisted living because of the stereotypes of abuse and loneliness. I want to create assisted living homes where families and the residents do not have to worry about mistreatment. I have always been a driven person so, when I was younger I set many goals for my self such as maintaining all A’s in school, making the cheer team, and getting a job at 16, my biggest accomplishment is meeting all these goals. Getting this scholarship will put me one step closer to completing a goal that I haven’t yet, graduate college top of the class and debt free.
