Hello everyone! My name is Katy, but you can call me Kei-ty. I was born in Mexico, so in the last 4 years I’ve learnt English as my second language. Since I was little I have been very ambitious about learning. That’s why school is my number one priority. Last summer I had the opportunity to be part of an internship, where my curiosity to explore architecture began. I’m the first generation of my family to attend a 4-year university. I have a lot of goals, but now I want to prioritize my place at Uw-Milwaukee. I want to make my parents feel proud of me!. Since I can remember, I have always been at the top of my class. In my last 2 years of high school, I received a scholarship through STEM program, an early college program for high school students who are interested in completing an Associate’s degree in their last two years of high school. Because of my dedication and effort, I was dominated two years in a row on the Dean’s list- Perfect honors, high honors, honors. I had the opportunity to receive my high school diploma and my Associate’s degree in my last semester of high school. I really want to represent my community with my achievements!.
