My name is Katy Smith, and I am a senior at Mangham High School. I am an Apostolic Pentecostal who is passionate about loving God and serving others. I actively serve my community through my church, my school, and a local nursing home, where I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. My parents have always taught me the importance of compassion, humility, and putting others before myself, values that continue to shape who I am today. My goal is to live a life centered on service and selflessness. Being nominated for the Daughters of the American Revolution Award is a true honor and reflects my dedication to helping others. If awarded this scholarship, I would apply it toward my college tuition so I can continue my education while pursuing a lifelong commitment to serving my community and those in need. I am a worship leader at my church and lead our youth worship band and children’s choir. As well as leading community wide worship nights with other singers in my community. Music is my passion and using my talents for God and serving others is my absolute joy in life.
