When I talk to my parents about my goals and dreams, I can see they are proud of me and want to cheer me on, but I know they are worried about the cost of schooling. I would love to take that burden off them and show them what I can do. Thank you for reading my essay. A life goal of mine is to open my own spa and employ people who are just as passionate about helping people as me. I want people to leave my spa feeling confident and relaxed. To do this, I must get the proper education and put in many hours of practice. To accomplish my goals I enrolled in the Esthetics program at Aveda Institute in Twin Falls, Idaho and start class in September of 2024. After I complete the Esthetics program, I will get my Associate's Degree in Cosmetology from the same school. I have started learning about business management and reading books on marketing. I also talk to people in the field and ask them questions whenever I go to a spa. I constantly watch YouTube videos on customer service skills and spa reviews, so I can learn what people like and do not like in their spa experience. I am trying to exhaust all my resources and get all the knowledge I can for free. I know a mountain of hard work is in front of me and I am excited for the challenge. This benefits me not only by bringing me happiness, but also confidence in myself. It gives me something I can be proud of myself for. Down the line, I plan on getting married and having children. I have this fantasy of my kids working at my spa when they are old enough. I would like to be successful enough to support my family and my parents when they get older. My kids will know it is possible to chase their dreams and do something they are passionate about if they see me doing it. I can also teach my kids all the lessons I learned along the way. I want my parents to feel proud of themselves for raising someone who accomplished what they set out for. I do not want my parents to feel guilt because they could not afford to send me to school.
