My favorite film is called "In Time," starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. I like this movie because it is about a universe where all people have to live with an actual clock etched on the side of their arm. All people are born with this clock, but only a year is given to every newborn, and their clock does not officially start until they reach a certain point in their adult life. For example, the main characters' clocks' did not officially being ticking until they hit the age of 23. Also in this society, their money is time, and the people who have been alive the longest have created businesses that basically make them immortal as they make so much "money". There was this saying during the movie, "for a few to be immortal, many must die." It was the truth, and a lot of people did not understand that except for one rich man who decided to give all his time to the main character because he was simply tired of living. He died because he believed that everyone did not have to die before their time. The main character's name was Will Salas, he lived in the Ghetto, they did not have a lot of time there and many people died in the streets because of how little time there was. Now, this only happened because the rich decided to raise the cost of living, rendering the people in the ghetto quite helpless. So when Will saved the rich man's life, the man decided to give his time to him and make a request. His dying wish was to not, "waste his time." Will's mother died not long after and that's where he decided to take his revenge against the rich. It relates to our society today.
