Hello! I am Katherine, and I am currently a high school senior aspiring to pursue a career that will be financially stable and fulfilling. As a first-generation Latina, I'm committed to applying to scholarships, after-school programs, and/or summer opportunities to give myself a chance to make a name for myself through artistic expression and make my parents proud. I've dabbled in graphic design, drawing, DIY crafting, and animation during my free time. In addition, I've taken Dance and Drama Tech classes, which have significantly built my confidence and created joy out of new experiences. I plan to continue dedicating myself to all these interests in some form during my college years, whether it be a career or hobby. And even if my plans for college change, I feel that I'm ready to adapt to whatever comes my way. I've learned important lessons about responsibility, growth, and identity from being in a rigorous curriculum and loving community at school. It's a little daunting when I think about the college process, but I know that with support, love, and determination, I can take it one step at a time.
