I was the first in my family to earn a bachelor's degree, and I am now working toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Upon graduation, my goal is to establish a family counseling practice focused on breaking generational cycles of maladaptive behavior within the family unit. I want to provide accessible, culturally competent care to communities of color—communities that are least likely to seek counseling due to long-standing stigmas and financial barriers. Through my practice, I will become the proverbial family member so many families need: a source of light, joy, and healing. My mission is not only to provide therapy, but to create a new narrative for families who have been surviving in silence for far too long.
