Hi! Like most people, I’ve been involved in many distinct activities. And though different activities might require different skills and characteristics of me, I try to keep a relatively down-to-earth vibe wherever I go. Maybe it’s the older sister in me, but I always try to keep a level head, so I can plan out exactly what I need to do next in order to succeed. From there, I feel justified in giving advice to others on how to reach the same results. In addition to being the oldest sibling, I’m a varsity cheerleader, dancer, science girlie, and language learner. I was a preprofessional dancer before I joined cheer, and while I may not dance as often as I used to, I support the arts, particularly dance, whenever I can. Academically speaking, science is hands-down my favorite subject, specifically biology and chemistry. I like science because there’s enough structure and numbers involved that I always know what to do, though not so many so as to prevent me from actually engaging my own critical thinking skills. I’m a problem-solver through-and-through, so I like feeling that I’ve been an active contributor in the problem-solving process. All this has led me to looking into the medical field for a job, though I’m trying to keep my options open. As for languages, I’ve been a long-standing member of my school’s Spanish club, and have been learning Spanish since kindergarten. That said, I’d love to learn more (French, Russian, Dutch, and Arabic), and hope to do so in the near future. I’m so excited to take this next step in my life!
