FinalistBio
I'm a full-time mom of two special needs young boys and I resumed my education 3 years ago as a full-time student, and Biochemistry major, minoring in Physics and Medical Sciences. Learning and growing is a daily pursuit of mine, and my dream is to earn a PhD. in Medical Biophysics, to continue my research, and advance in a STEM career. My boys love the sciences too, and I'm trying my best to be the best role model and inspiration for them. We've had a rough time, and I want to show them what you can accomplish with perseverance and determination.

Dream career field:
Research
Dream career goals:
To utilize my inherent sense of curiosity, passion for science, and improving the lives of others, toward making significant contributions in medical biophysics, pharmacology, and/or genetic research in order to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. I eventually want to become a professor later on in my career, but when all is said and done, this has always been about providing for my children the kind of lives they've always deserved. I feel that the intersectionality of all the sciences that I pursue is a critical component of my goals.
