I am a current college student excited about expanding my educational opportunities to make the world an easier place. Becoming a linguist has always been a dream of mine and to become that would mean to educate others on cultural differences and to narrow the language barriers in the world.

Girls Ready to Empower Girls
Sometimes all it takes is a scroll through YouTube to find someone who find someone who inspires us to be better. I still remember this day clearly. I was watching a video about this girl, WendySkin, who is two years younger than me, but is living her life to the fullest. In this video, she talks about her journey through YouTube and how this platform helped change her life. Instead of working a 9-5 to make ends meet, living check by check, and surrendering herself to a boss above her, she decided to change her life. At the beginning of her journey, she had no idea that her first makeup video would be the start of something powerful.
Working a 9-5 is not everyone's dream. For me, it isn't either, especially having to rely on a boss to tell you how to do your job properly. Currently, I am working on an online business myself but I am still working on a 9-5 as well. I don't hate my job, but the one thing I don't like about it is having to rely on someone else for approval. I want to feel confident in my ability to get something done. I want to rely on myself to be successful and not have someone to micromanage what I do.
In my job, there is a lot of customer service taking place. I have to constantly be around people, listening to their problems, and having to find solutions to meet their needs proactively and quickly. When I have my boss around, I feel like I can't get my job done accurately because I have someone breathing down my neck all of the time. With Wendy's video, she made me realize that these feelings are valid. Sometimes there is good in someone checking up on you but the one person who is going to determine your actions is yourself. If you think you are doing a good job, then great. You have to make decisions for yourself, and you need to have the confidence in yourself to make those decisions.
Her video inspired me to put myself out there. To reach across myself and find a passion for something greater. It was time to pull my life together and just from that point on, I did something big. I had signed myself up for an Online Business class that would teach me how to create my own business and be my boss. Through this website, I would learn things about myself that I didn't know. I found my weaknesses and used them to my advantage. I made those weaknesses, my strengths instead.
Windward Spirit Scholarship
More often or not, the older generation will judge us, the younger ones for ruining society but we accept it with grace. This is because we believe in making a difference, and in not conforming to the societal standards that Millenilnials-Gen Z's are accustomed to. We are here to change the world and make it better. The reason why we say that it will be better is because we know the world can change for the better. We are hopeful in thd changes that we are to being to the world and we hope that it is for the better.
The older generation is a conformist, and stubborn generation that likes to stick to their ways and have a difficult time molding their world into the reality of what the world is now. They have a hard time believing that the world is changing and they refuse to change their ways to it. They have lived in poverty and seeing the world as it is now, with the high medical prices and high number of student loans occurring, they think that the world is the same as it was back then.
As the younger generation, we are here to say no, that is why we are called the "future" o the "Greatest Gneration 2.0" because we refuse to conform and we are here to make a change, whether society likes us or not.
I Can Do Anything Scholarship
My future self is surrounded by all the supportive people in my life. She will not be working for anyone but herself and grateful that she has a strong supportive system and blessed that she has this.
