Bio

I'm currently a freshman at Brigham Young University-Idaho, majoring in International Studies and minoring in Economics. Growing up, I moved around frequently, which gave me a unique perspective on different cultures and global issues, but it also meant I never had one spot to call home, and last year, when my father went to prison, the experience only deepened my need to make a positive impact. My dream is to work for an international charity, especially one that focuses on animal rescue. For the past four years, I've worked at an animal hospital, where I discovered my passion for helping both people and animals. I believe that by combining my love for learning with my desire to create positive change, I can make a real difference. Despite the challenges, I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

I cannot say with certainty what the future holds for me, but I believe that none of us can know what the future holds. However, I can tell you about my aspirations. My dream is to work for a non-profit organization that focuses on animal welfare worldwide. I have grown up around vet clinics and the humane society. In that time, I have learned that animals are kind and loving and they deserve our help especially when it is our fault that they are struggling. I want to help animals on a larger scale than just a local clinic I have had opportunities to travel to struggling countries on relief missions and I am heartbroken to see how little help the animals get we destroy the world and refuse to help anyone but our kind it is wrong, unfair, and needs to be fixed. In most cases, the animals are in bad situations because of our actions, which we all need to take responsibility for my goal is to make a start. The reason why I am interested in this scholarship is because it is for the greater good. There are many scholarships out there that are just about celebrities wanting to hear their fans express their love for them. In contrast, this scholarship is trying to positively impact the world. I need this scholarship because, unfortunately, my father recently lost his job, and we no longer have enough money to pay for my college education. We were making enough money before he lost his job to not qualify for government funding. I do not want to take out loans because I want to focus on doing good for the world without worrying about finances from the start and get a job not for the money but for work and the good that will be put out into the world. With your support, I can make my dream a reality. I want to use this scholarship to further my education and get the skills and knowledge that I need to make a real impact on animal welfare around the globe. I am not just looking for a career; I am looking for a way to make a difference. It is my dream to help animals on a worldwide scale for the rest of my life, and I hope that you consider me for your scholarship and help me make my dream become my reality.
Homeward Bound Pets Humane Society Veterinary Assistant Scholarship
I have grown up surrounded by veterinary medicine and have spent most of my life working alongside my mom at various animal hospitals. Even though we moved around a lot due to my dad's job, my love for animal care has always been constant. In 2020, I got a job at a local clinic where I have worked with countless animals. Although not all dogs are friendly and many are nervous, it makes my day to see them wag their tails when they see me. Their ability to be happy no matter how bad a situation is truly amazing. Despite my love for dogs, it was my love for cats that sparked my passion for the veterinary field. While cats may seem like jerks, they are just being themselves and don't care if we approve of them or not. They know that our love for them is unconditional, and they tend to be too smart for their good sometimes. Unlike other domestic animals that give constant affection, cat love is somewhat conditional, which is why they have a poor reputation. However, I believe this is not necessarily bad. We can learn from them that we should love what is good for us, an idea that many people struggle with. I believe that everything in this world, no matter how small or insignificant, can teach us something new, whether it's a small fly or your childhood dog. The animal world is something that can always teach you something, whether you are a doctor who has been studying something for years or a student on your first day. This is something I have always admired about the field. Looking forward, I want to help animals on a larger scale than just a local clinic. I have had the opportunity to travel to struggling countries on relief missions, and every time I am heartbroken to see how little help the animals receive. We tend to destroy the world and refuse to help anyone but our kind, which is wrong, unfair, and needs to be fixed. In my opinion, no one deserves our help more than our pets they are kind and loving. All they ask for in return is to be treated like living things. My goal is to one day work for a nonprofit like the Humane Society. It is my dream to help animals on a worldwide scale for the rest of my life, and I hope that you will consider me for your scholarship to help me make my dream a reality.
Learner Education Women in Mathematics Scholarship
Mathematics is really interesting because it is always the same no matter where you go. You will have the same answers no matter what language or country or people, in a way math unites the world. While I travel around the world and that people from many different backgrounds. I don't always understand the language and I don't always understand the culture but one plus one is two no matter where you go. A couple of years ago my family had a foreign exchange student. She lived in many countries and was excited to be in America. She was really sweet and very creative it was always nice to have her around. But she did struggle in school because it was not her native language and she had to learn everything over in a new language except math and I didn't realize how interesting it was that when she came here she knew basically nothing except math. Every time she moved she had to do this over and over and over again because of did a different languages and different cultures while it did teach her a lot. I think it is comforting to have one thing that's always the same. I also got a job in a veterinarian clinic a couple years ago it's a strange job for a teenager but interesting nonetheless. Math is one thing that is always applied into the real world whether it's measurements or dosages or converting one thing to another I'm consistently finding myself using old math equations from school. While some ways it feels like a constant battle. In others it is nice to know there is something I know how to do all over in the world. Ever since I was little I was pushed towards math because I really struggled in Reading. Until I was about seven or eight I could not read at all. Luckily now I can read and love a good book. But it's nothing like doing math it just clicks in my brain a lot easier than most things do. I have come to love physics, explaining how things work has become a passion for me. And have taken many classes in it and I still have plenty to learn. I hope one day I could do something in physics and hopefully change the world for the better. I'm going to keep the short and sweet cuz I've never been much of a writer but thank you for your time and for considering my application.
