I’m not gonna lie it took me a while to find this answer. There are so many times where I find myself searching for more questions without answering others. Someone who’s influenced me a lot I believe is my younger sister. I believe she could be the reason for my problem and here’s how. We grew up on the south side of Chicago. Unlike most though our childhood was not like most. Fortunately we stayed out of trouble, did great in school, had a mom who believed in us. Not gonna say our life was perfect because there was struggle but it was good. My sister is someone I always wanted to impress. She was the reason I pushed so hard because I wanted her to have a role model. Someone to look to and want to be like. I’m Gonna be the first to go to college. I’m gonna be the first to even graduate highschool! I’m the mold. I have no problem being that for her though. She’s not like me. I think the reason I try so hard may be because I try to do different things for her to realize what she likes before she doesn’t something. I’ve played so many sports. Joined so many clubs. And it wasn’t until this year I realized what I truly wanted to do. I thank my sister sometimes for being younger than me. Sometimes I’m glad I have that person to be able to fight For. Without her I know I’d fight. But without her I’d have nothing to fight for. One day I’m gonna be seen on the big screen. Well I’m gonna be directing those people you see on the big screen but same thing right? I’m gonna be the reason so many get to smile. I’ll be the reason so many get to look forward to a Friday or a Saturday night because they get to watch something I made happen. Then after that I’ll make a school. Me and my sister always said the type of school we would’ve liked to go to. The one we dreamed was available for kids. I’m gonna build that school. Not for people who are rich. Not those who are used to that. But for those who truly deserve a place where they feel happy. Where they can learn to expect the best from life. And that is what I want for my sister as well. Whatever I do it’s for and all because of her.
