My name is Kamsiyochukwu Nwotite, and I am currently a senior at Kent School. I am pursuing an education in psychology as well as in pre-med. I am a high-honors student and have received a College Board National Recognition Award for my hard work as well as a Williams College Book Award. I am very involved in my school, being part of the Disciplinary Committee, tutoring my fellow students, and running my own club. I am passionate about mental health and I want to pursue a career in Psychiatry. Growing up with a parent who faced mental health challenges and as someone who has had mental health issues first-hand, I am dedicated to helping others who have experienced the same. I have been part of research regarding counseling, and at school, I am a Peer Counselor, working with my peers and therapists to support struggling students. Receiving any scholarships would allow me to further my education, my mission to help others with their mental health, and make a meaningful impact in my community and beyond.
