Hi, my name is Kaliyah Allmon. I am a Senior this year. My first life goal is to get accepted into college. I also would like to continue to help in my community. I have two main things when people ask me what I want to do when I grow up. I want to own my own business, or I want to be a physician/surgeon. I am really leaning toward owning my own business. Why, you might ask? When I grow up, I want to show young kids that they are made of something. That they can do anything they put their minds to. That we are the Future of America, and we need to believe that we can make a difference. I also want to show people that not all African Americans are bad people. Just because people with the same skin color as me are doing bad things does not mean I'm just like that person. I want to show young kids that we are not bad people and that we can't believe all the terrible things people say about us. I know for a fact that some people hear that, and they wonder why I should even try. It's not like they are going to look at me any differently. I don't want them to think that way; I want them to be encouraged to prove them wrong to show them that we can do anything we put our minds to. I want to show kids everywhere, no matter their skin color, that they can do anything as long as they believe in their selves. So that is pretty much my passions and my life goals, so I'm asking you to believe in me so I can fix my generation and so they can fix the generations to come. I also really like to read.
