I have been obsessed with computers and technology ever since I was first introduced to them. One of my favorite hobbies is playing video games, which has led to me wanting to make them. I have been unsure about the degree, though, because of how intense the job can be. I do not know much about making games yet, but I hope to learn while pursuing a computer science degree in college. Writing code sounds intimidating, but once I can see my work come to life, I think the entire process will be worth it. With a computer science degree, I want to create video games to share with the world. I want to bring others the joy of playing games and work with a team to do it. I am enamored with the possibilities of coding and computers. There is so much that we have not discovered with coding that could bring people together. The possibilities of computers are endless, really, and the field is innovated upon every day. New technology comes out every year that makes computers smarter or faster, allowing new opportunities to make something amazing. The other field that I am interested in being a part of is artificial intelligence. Within the last few years, artificial intelligence has taken over the technology field with apps like ChatGPT. AI is a young piece of technology, relatively speaking, but I believe its potential is endless. There is so much more to create with AI other than just being a chatbot that gives homework answers. AI is a tool that can help improve productivity and learning. Although there are fears that AI can take jobs away, I believe that it could be better suited to help improve job productivity. AI's potential is unmatched and is a popular, growing field in computer science. My preferred career with a computer science degree is creating video games, but I know that the field can be quite intense. If, for some reason, I am unable to find a job in making games for a large corporation, I could alter my path towards artificial intelligence, which could still pay off. I think that whichever career I choose, I will be able to make a difference in our world, especially with the ever-growing need for more technology in the modern day. Both creating video games and artificial intelligence could bring joy to people around the world and help improve lives.
