Toys For Tots — I was given family profiles. My job was to select toys for them. I made my selections based on age and gender (by social standards). I wanted to select a meaningful toy; one that would make them and their parents smile on Christmas Day.

I have always been curious. I love to explore mysteries and complex ideas. I enjoy figuring out how things work and their respective purposes. When I was in my single digits, I collected rocks of all kinds. My grandparents used to take me to old mines. There, we collected old mine rocks and other substances. With the rocks that I collected, I recreated or made models of plants. I upcycled an old plastic Valentine's Day rose stem, a strip of plastic foam from a computer box, a ponytail holder band, and two rubber bands from a loom kit. I rolled the plastic foam and strapped it in place with the ponytail holder band. The foam contained spaces for me to place rocks. Then, I pentetrated the foam with the rose stem. The stem was the plant, and the foam allowed me to represent the ground underneath the plant. Finally, I placed the last rock on the top of the stem where the flower used to sit. The two rubber loom bands binded the rock to the stem. It was complete. I also created a blueprint of a greenhouse model that contained a home for birds. I have yet to make it, but it has always been a dream of mine to create things that can allow me to be self sufficient and closer to the natural world. My curiosity allows me to express my own unique style of creativity.
