Hello, my name is Kailah Francis, and I am aspiring nursing student at Camden County College for my Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma. My career goal is to become a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) and eventually open up my own wellness clinic. My academic goal is to obtain my BSN and MSN alongside other certifications to help further my career development. I am the youngest to a single father of 2 who migrated to america from Jamaica. As a first generation college student, paying for college can be expensive especially when there’s only one main source of income to pay necessities and other expenses. With the help of earning a scholarship, I’m confident that not only will i make my family proud and have the opportunity to make a change in healthcare but also enchant my academic career path!
