I believe that pursuing a career in the dental field is solely the most rewarding, lucrative job of the twenty-first century. Dentists are able to build bonds with their long-time patients, and offer an enjoyable and inviting environment while administering the best oral care possible. Truthfully, it was my own pediatric dentist who inspired me to want to become a dentist and whom I aspired to be like. I remember being greeted by the friendly faces in the waiting room, playing with the toys until I was invited to sit in the bright green dental chair for my checkup. Although this career path offers a magnificent future, with grand rewards comes an extensive journey requiring great dedication. My motivation to learn more about dentistry is driven by my genuine fascination with teeth, and the mouth in general. I have always had a keen interest to learn and gain knowledge; interest sparks the flame, yet curiosity spreads the fire. It has become evident to my friends and family over the years that I have formed a one-track mind in my pursuit to becoming a dentist, specializing in pediatrics. I also feel that it’s the best career path because my minor major is going to be Cosmology which will be flexible with my schedule. I believe that with hard work, dedication and my drive to learn, I will surely be able to reach my goal. It is evident that dental profession is very demanding. This career requires skill and dedication. I believe that my greatest challenge upon entering the dental field will be my ability to bring change to a profession that has been in existence for thousands of years. With this said, my greatest challenge also serves as the root of my greatest goal. I believe that it is very important to help others throughout your journey, and even more so when you finally reach your goal. Money should be the last factor holding a student back from education, and therefore, I plan on offering a scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in the dental field. Essentially, what matters the most is presenting the leaders of our future with doors of opportunity, and encouraging them to turn the knobs. At the end of the day, I am no fortune teller; I cannot guarantee much of what the future holds for our earth. What I can guarantee is the simple fact that I will continue to work hard, so one day “Dr. Kadyn Greene” will follow my name.
