FinalistBio
I am an aspiring attorney with past experience in public interest, social justice, and international affairs. I secured bachelors degrees in journalism, French, and international relations & global studies from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2022. Currently, I am working to earn my J.D. at Boston University School of Law.
Through my demonstrated history of social justice campaigning, multilingualism, and cultural competence and sensitivity, I look forward to ultimately working alongside international governmental organizations and polities to implement and expand global protections for freedom of speech, expression, and the press in regions of the world that severely lack and/or poorly effectuate them.
My passion stems from my roots. As a proud first-generation Guinean-American, the inextricable link between equality/equity and development is something I've always been aware of and, as a result, dedicated to ameliorating. My mission, therefore, is to empower the suppressed to become the change-makers of tomorrow by protecting the voices needed to inspire that change.
