I have always been extremely passionate about the idea of remaining true to yourself by pursuing whatever makes you feel truly like you. Throughout my life, I have focused on finding things that make me feel unique and confident and fuel my soul. This has always been art for me but in specific, makeup. Not just any makeup, SFX makeup mainly, but of course with hints of glam and beauty as well. I want to inspire others that sometimes the traditional path isn't whats best for you. You don't know how much time you have left in life. You need to spend everyday doing what makes you happy or doing the things that fuel your soul. Sometimes, taking the leap for something you love can truly pay off. No matter what, at least I can say I tried. But if you love something that sparks a fire in you, you need to try to make it a reality. Some might even try to convince you otherwise however, your life will only be lived by you. It doesn't matter what others think because you are the one living in your own shoes everyday, not them. My plan is to become an SFX makeup artist (and glam) within the film and TV industry as well as run a custom lash and brow service independently. I originally went to school for medical however, my heart just didn't feel like it belonged there. Of course I loved helping people, but sometimes, especially with issues like billing insurance or negligent doctors, I felt as if I was doing more harm than good. I want to be able to work everyday as me and what I stand for. This means in ways that truly can help others whether its physically or emotionally. I will be an inspiration. I will help others feel a sense of fulfillment in their lives one way or another, because that's what we should be chasing in life. The opportunity to be creative and free-flowing with the ability to say, "Wow, this is what I do everyday!" is what I hope to achieve. I want to be proud of myself and look back and love myself for chasing my dreams and not giving up. Even the ability to be able to take a screenwriters vision and bring a character or effect to life on a screen and portray what they've been envisioning for years in their head. I want to give all of my independent clients that I will have, a sense of confidence and unique expression of love for themselves through providing customized colored lashes and brows services. To be able to give people the opportunity to feel uniquely you in ways that others may not understand. I want to be able to be the creative and unique expressive outlet for people. We don't know how long we may have left, so we might as well live today with our souls on fire.

Makeup has always been something that has been calling to me. Every halloween as a kid I would beg my parents to take me to Spirit Halloween so I could find any sort of paint or prosthetic to wear to school during the fall. Once I was in middle school, I acted in many of the school productions but also created all of the makeup, including SFX Makeup of course, such as the gore within our zombie flash mob dance that we performed at Navy Pier in Chicago! This passion for makeup continued into high school and has expanded even more today. I have taken Character FX classes by Emmy-nominated artists, J Anthony Kosar and Anna Cali who gave me personal advice on how to grow within this field and what I should learn to get started. Anna is the reason why I want to attend esthetics school! She taught us the importance of knowing how chemicals react on skin and how to prevent any damage to the skin even if it isn't noticeable. She focused on how skin prep is even more important than the makeup itself! If you don't have the right base, you don't have a look at all! Being able to have guidance and the ability to network so early within my career, as well as be able to get professional feedback from artists, really helps my confidence and the ability to grow quickly within this field. I started studying independently with what what I had and taught myself how to airbrusha as well as most gore makeup and even beauty makeup. As time goes on, I continue to look back at my notes and portfolio to see how much I have grown already as an artist. I am absolutely in love with this line of work. The opportunities are endless and allow for complete creative freedom and expression. This is something I've always wanted to make sure my everyday life was able to include. Personally, I feel it is very important to invest in your career and be able to truly love the what you do for work every single day. Eventually, I hope to work for Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando in the 2027 season after I finish Esthetics school at Stacey James Institute. After that, I will begin working with independent film makers as well as attending Cinema Makeup School by 2028/2029 and become apart of IATSE as soon as I have the right skills, experience, and the opportunity.
