With my family's guidance, I learned from an early age the implications of letting your actions speak louder than your words. Utilizing your actions to provide meaningful examples for others to understand the type of person you are and how you choose to live your life. Being able to assist not only my community but others in need is one of the most critical factors in my life, and I am grateful to do so when the opportunity is present. With our personal experiences, we can help make a difference in the lives of numerous individuals and help expand those willing to do the same. Seeing the changes that we can bring about in people’s lives is what inspires me the most. It does not matter how big or small the actions may seem; taking a step towards helping your fellow human is one of the most essential actions in the world. Volunteer experiences that I have participated in include voluntarily assisting with my old high school football program, Operation Christmas Child, Manna Ministries, and a mission trip to Honduras. Since 2022, I have spent over 649 hours assisting the high school football program. I have filmed, created, and directed accounts for players to have the ability to receive athletic scholarships. I have been responsible for formulating proper warm-ups, drills, and workouts while providing instruction and showcasing adequate technique. Most importantly, as a volunteer, I have had numerous opportunities to advise students and student-athletes on how to be prepared for their everyday lives and futures. Helping students understand the importance of grades, discovering their passion, rejecting bad decisions that can have heavy implications on their lives, understanding the college system, proper diets, and keys to good relationships. Through the supervision of the coaches, parents, and the actions of the athletes, the team has continuously exceeded predicted standards, achieving our first football state championship and trying to earn another. The team has received visits from college coaches, All-County Honors, scholarships, and camp invitations for their dedication. More importantly, the players understand and achieve high standards off the field, earning A and A-B honor roll and obtaining National Beta Club inaugurations. For Operation Christmas Child, the main objective is to accept donations from those willing to give and package them into boxes to be sent worldwide. These boxes typically include toys, toiletries, books, or clothing, allowing those less fortunate to obtain such necessities. For Manna Ministries, my roles included stocking and packaging boxes with different varieties of food to be given out to those in need and telling drivers when to stop and move up to receive these packages. During the Honduran mission trip, we helped build a church for an orphanage, played with kids in the orphanage, and experienced Honduran culture. Each of these volunteer experiences reminds me that as we continue forward, it is up to us to push for a better tomorrow. Regardless of race, gender, or social class, we can all influence those around us and those in the future.

The characteristics of our mind and body are intricately constructed from the circumstances, decisions, and people pertained within every stage of life, and if not adequately attended to, results in harmful and damaging relationships of mental and physical health. The importance and co-connectedness of psychological and physical health are frequently marginalized, avoided, and stigmatized. As a result, this has left people uninformed about properly dealing with their problems and using destructive methods to manage them. In my circumstances, without fully comprehending and understanding how to properly take care of myself mentally and physically, I spiraled into a cycle of obsessive and excessive fitness activities, deprived myself of needed sustenance, and entered into a state of cognitive exhaustion and depression. This dangerous cycle resulted in the slow atrophy, damage, and impairment of differing muscles and tendons, preventing me from doing the most minuscule tasks. For almost two years, I have continued efforts towards recovery, attending therapy and physical therapy on multiple occasions. The pain reduced but remained prevalent, so research on the mind and human body became a focal point; learning from books about nerves, muscles, bones, physical therapy exercises, psychology, and strength training, I reorganized and altered my viewpoints and strategies. | discovered a passion for learning about and becoming a part of a field of work that uses exercise to improve someone's well-being, such as a kinesiotherapist, physical therapist, or exercise physiologist, while integrating aspects of psychology to better my care. This continued experience has molded my goals for the future as well as increased the strength of my mental fortitude. My future intends to help those suffering from physical ailments or decline, striving to understand their psychological and physical circumstances to help treat them. The mindset built from the people I love, people I have helped, and myself far outweighs the pain I experience. The joy and happiness of being able to pursue more challenges in my purpose of obtaining the goals set in place continues to grow. The physical education degree was the first stepping stone toward achieving my goal of being able to help others. It allows me to take steps towards giving guidance and clarity to those who might have questions about physical training or improvement, something that means very much to me. After completing my associate degree in physical education, I plan to transfer to a four-year institution, majoring in kinesiology and minoring in psychology. Pursuing this path allows me to further my education and make me a more well-rounded worker, understanding clients' physical and psychological elements in my career path. After graduation, I aim to take every step necessary to become the most prepared and educated professional in the field for my clients. Not only being recognized for my knowledge, but also for the compassion and reassurance my patients and the community feel when working with me.

With my family's guidance and my faith, I learned from an early age the implications of letting your actions speak louder than your words, having a solid academic standing, showing leadership skills, and, most importantly, helping others. My graduation as a senior from high school was a time of excitement and happiness, but despite my ambitions for the future, I felt my role in the school was not finished. The high school I attended was a small Christian institution, with students ranging from around two hundred or less. Despite the size, the relationships I obtained at the school were priceless; friends in higher and lower grades, teachers, and coaches were another family to me. I watched my coaches spend countless hours pouring into multiple sports, some overlapping. Right after graduation, I decided to do everything I could to help my coaches and athletes. I have spent over 400+ hours voluntarily assisting with the program (2022-present), and many of those hours have been spent studying routines, drills, workouts, and proper techniques so I could ensure good teaching points and growth. I have filmed, created, and directed accounts for players to have the ability to receive athletic scholarships and have made highlight films for our athletes. I have helped high school students understand the significance of preparing for the next steps in their lives. Understanding the importance of grades, discovering their passion, rejecting bad decisions that can have heavy implications on their lives, understanding the college system, proper diets, and keys to good relationships. Every situation is unique, and the solution is to listen to a student's perspective and be willing to take the time to improve your knowledge to be ready for situations that may present themselves. As a volunteer, I have had numerous opportunities to advise students and student-athletes on how to be prepared for their everyday lives and futures. I am also responsible for formulating proper warm-ups, critiquing, and showing proper technique for lifting and pushing them during running and drill work. I learned from this experience how to have authentic leadership and have helped the coaches and athletes achieve some of their goals. Through the supervision of the coaches, parents, and actions of the kids, along with two years of demanding work, the team was able to go above the predicted standard, going from a 6-5 record the previous year to an 11-1 season and achieving our first football state championship. Many of the players earned All-County honors. The team has received visits from college coaches and camp invitations for their dedication. More importantly, the players also understood and achieved high standards off the field, many earning A and A-B honor roll, as well as obtaining National Beta Club inaugurations.
