My name is Justin Paris, a senior whose life revolves around fitness, teamwork, and helping others. Growing up in Wilsonville, I cultivated my passions through Scouting, competitive swimming, and community service. These experiences shaped me into someone who is passionate, caring, and cooperative—qualities I bring to everything I do. I have been a competitive swimmer for over a decade, representing Wilsonville High School at state meets while balancing a newfound passion for weightlifting. My dedication to fitness extends to joining the United States Powerlifting Association, where I am preparing to compete for the youth bench press record. Beyond personal goals, I work as a swim instructor, teaching children water safety and life skills. My time in Scouts taught me the value of service and leadership. From organizing food drives to helping clean schools and cheering on teammates, I’ve learned the importance of building others up. A pivotal moment in my journey came when my father suffered a stroke during my sophomore year. Supporting my family during that time deepened my commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare. Looking to the future, I hope to combine my passion for fitness and health with a career in medicine or physical therapy. My experiences have taught me the power of perseverance, compassion, and teamwork—qualities I believe will help me make a meaningful impact on others. While challenges have tested me, they’ve also strengthened my resolve to achieve my dreams and leave the world a little better than I found it.
