As a teen, right out of high school, I wanted to go to Kirkwood Community College. Life happened, and at the time, that was no longer an option. Seven years later, I decided to attend Scott Community College because it was close to home and flexible with my home life. A radiology technician is my career path. My motivation to succeed comes from my four-year-old daughter. Knowing that she’ll grow up and have a good and steady lifestyle motivates me daily! I never knew how much it impacted me until one day; she sat down with me while doing my homework to do her “homework” to be just like me, she said. My subjects of choice are algebra, Chemistry, and Composition writing. Something about the combination of numbers, letters, and chemical bonds excites me! One moment you think there is no way to solve the problem equation or write that essay; then, suddenly, you have a solution for a problem that once looked impossible. In a sense, it makes you realize that anything is possible.
