Bio

One educational goal of mine is to study abroad! This is a goal of mine because I desire to enhance my cultural knowledge and want to build a greater appreciation for different cultures. I was recently accepted to study in Seville, Spain for a semester so I look forward to this upcoming experience. Some more educational goals of mine include earning my PhD, participating in Science based research, and continuing to earn a high GPA. Outside of education, I have goals of growing strong knit relationships with my loved ones and raising a family with my future significant other. I am extremely passionate about advocating against climate change and conservation. I love caring for small animals and returning strays to local shelters for their care. I'm also passionate about civil rights for all minorities and have written many papers about the need for reform in society. I am a great candidate for these scholarships because I am driven and have the discipline necessary to push myself to my full potential. I am also a great candidate because I am passionate about not only education, but the well-being of people. My true desire to make a change that benefits people and our planet is what makes me stand out against other candidates.

Bold Caring for Seniors Scholarship
I visit the elderly in a nearby nursing home monthly. My goal in visiting them is to bring a feeling of connection and joy into their lives with new people. I try to inspire this by playing games with the people living in these homes, painting the women's nails, and listening to their many stories. They truly do have an abundance of knowledge and wisdom to share, yet they do not get to share it that often. That is also a reason why I come to visit them; it allows them to have an outlet to share important lessons learned, while I can take these lessons and carry them onto my future life plans. If they need help retrieving something or organizing their responsibilities, I am also there to lend a helpful hand. By doing so monthly, I am able to build my one on one connection with the person I am seeing, and also build trust with them.
