My favorite moments I've had is meeting new people and getting to know them. Finding people in life that have the same interests as you is always a fun experience. Having classes with these people who enjoy it as much as you do makes it easier to focus on projects at hand, because we all are reaching for the same thing. How people are around you, does make a difference in how your work turns out. I love being able to learn everything I've always wanted to and learning all the new things I never thought I'd have the chance to learn. I'm almost 30 years old, a single mother, and always thought that I'd would never have the chance to do what I love, but now life has given me the opportunity to finally have that chance. So, the whole college experience is amazing to me in every way. I've always try to utilize ever experience and also enjoy it. My favorite moment so far is the first time going to class again. It was an exciting and humbling moment for me. I was greatful to be able to have this experience under my life circumstances. It was a bit awkward to knowing I was most likely 10 years older then some of my peers, but after a moment I realized it didn't matter. We were all here for the same thing and my age didn't determine how similar we all actually were. I remember walking into my first class again after so many years, and it was my economics class were my professors was a year younger than I was and everyone else was in their late teenage years or early twenties. It was a bit intimidating and a bittersweet moment of knowing I was finally here, but I kept think I should be teaching a class not taking one by this age. It made me feel like I had failed in so many way throughout life, but then my professors start talking about how he is currently taking classes to further his education and that made me feel so much better about myself. I realized it didn't matter my age, all that mattered was that I was there and was actually able to learn something new. I was moving further in my life like I had always wanted. I started talking to my peers and getting to know them and I realized they were not that different from me despite my age and actually made friends. That moment shifted all of my insecurities and even though I still have them from time to time. I think back to that moment and realize no matter our ages we're all here for the same thing and we are all a like in so many ways. It help me understand the phrase "you are never to old to learn something new" in a new way.
