I have always dreamed of studying abroad. Ever since I was little and was still in school, whenever someone asked me what I wanted to do, I always replied that I wasn't sure yet, all that I knew was that I wanted to be doing it in a different country than the one I was raised in. The years passed, and I saw myself being drawn to the business world - what made a company work, and, how did all those people work together to make such a big enterprise keep on standing on its own two feet. So I chose to major in Business and, here at UMass Amherst, pursue a degree with a focus on management. Up until this point, my journey has been marked by my strong drive to excel in whichever field I ended up deciding to work in. Business was perfect choice for me especially because of the diversity in fields and the vast range of positions that I could choose from. Growing up in a multicultural environment has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diversity and global perspectives, both of which are invaluable assets in today's interconnected business landscape. These, along with business focused classes that I have been able to take in the short time I have been in college, have further fueled my passion for business and reinforced my determination to succeed in this field. As a scholarship recipient, I will use the opportunity to continue expanding my knowledge and skills in business management, continuing to practice and develop strategic planning, leadership, and innovation skills. Additionally, I am eager to be able to actively contribute to the business community by sharing my insights, and collaborating with peers and industry professionals, while also pursuing initiatives that drive sustainable growth and development. In the future, I envision myself playing significant roles in shaping the future of businesses, whether through leading innovative startups or contributing to the strategic management of established corporations. Combining the power of technology, fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration, and prioritizing ethical decision-making, I aim to create value for stakeholders while promoting responsible and sustainable business practices. In conclusion, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion for business at UMass Amherst and beyond. With the support of this scholarship, I am confident that I will be able to realize my aspirations and contribute meaningfully to the business community.
