      Sabrina Carpenter Superfan Scholarship
Sabrina Carpenter is a pop-star singer and actress who has impacted many people, including myself. Whether people know her from Disney Channel or through her most recent songs like "Tears" or "Espresso". Or perhaps you came across her somewhere in between those eras with songs like "Sue Me" or "Nonsense" but regardless of when you met her, she is still an incredible artist. I'm a fan of Sabrina Carpenter because she is a talented and confident artist who followed her dreams. I first discovered Sabrina when I was in 8th grade when I stumbled upon her song "Looking at Me". I immediately loved it because it was filled with such confidence and the beat was catchy too. Like many middle schoolers I lacked confidence in myself, so it was nice to sing that song with that energy that I did not have. I started listening to more and more songs by her and continued to fall in love with her music and the way she carried herself. Sabrina is very confident and bubbly and just seems like an enjoyable person to be around. She started her career on Disney Channel and acted in other movies like “Tall Girl”. She dropped her first album “Eyes Wide Open” in 2015 and has gained much popularity since then. Her career impacts me because she worked hard and never gave up on her music. Sabrina has gained so many fans and popularity since her first album and she has not lost her confidence. Sabrina Carpenter’s career has impacted me because she reminds me to be confident and not give up in my dreams. I have struggled with my confidence and being myself. So, seeing Sabrina being her goofy self and knowing exactly who she is is an example of what I want to be. Her music reminds me to keep striving to be myself.
      Love Island Fan Scholarship
We all know Love Island is filled with spicy and juicy challenges that always have a twist. These challenges are designed to cause extra drama. I have created a brand new challenge that is a classic "high school" game with of course a special twist that is sure to cause drama This challenge will start out with a game of spin the bottle, which is pretty popular. However, if you have never heard of this game it is where everyone gathers in a circle. Then a bottle (could be glass or just a can) is placed in the center of the circle and someone spins it. Whoever the bottle points to is the chosen one. For the next part of this challenge there needs to be a table with a box. In the box are notecards with mini statements like "grab the islander you most want to kiss" or "grab the islanders that are your least favorite in the villa". The chosen one will go up to the box and draw a notecard and read the statement out loud. For the third and final part there will be a mini closet. The chosen one will grab the islander(s) of their choice and take them into the closet for two to five minutes. Depending on what the notecard said will determine what may happen inside of the closet. This brand new challenge is designed to cause drama. Especially if there are new bombshells or someone in a couple has wondering eyes. The closet causes extra drama because the islanders could kiss and never tell or spill the beans the next day. This challenge would fit right into Love Island because it is sure to cause juicy drama.
      Taylor Swift Fan Scholarship
"The Life of a Showgirl" was a thrilling album with songs that can move anyone. Taylor did an excellent job showcasing the struggles, as well as the highs, of being a showgirl. My favorite song off of the album is "The Life of a Showgirl" (featuring Sabrina Carpenter). It is upbeat and catchy and the lyrics have a deeper meaning of putting on a facade and pretending to be someone they are not. However, the song that I found the most moving off of the album is "Actually Romantic". This song is calling out the people who speak badly about Taylor Swift and how she finds it funny they care that much about her. This song is a little petty but moved me because I have dealt with fake friends before. In both of these situations the people just stopped talking and acting cold to me and I have no idea why. I also heard from other people that the fake friends were talking ill of me to others. These situations hurt me because I truly thought of those people as my friends and I'm forever curious as to why they decided to dropped me. So Taylor singing about how she blocks out the hate by saying how obsessed with her, which comforts me in way and helps me see the situation in a less depressing way. Even if "Actually Romantic"is just a petty song it can still move people like me, who have struggled dealing with fake friends.
