What is better than a skill that you can keep forever in your back pocket? I feel as if automotive is one of those skills. My name is Julian Smith, I'm 17 and I am from Jackson, Ms. I am expected to graduate in the class of 2024. I participate in Varsity Football here at Murrah High School. What inspires me the most about a career in the automotive industry is that you can develop a skill to keep with you for the rest of your life. My father is deceased so he never had the chance to teach me about vehicles when he was here. My uncles were always working people so I really never had anyone to teach me about cars growing up. So with the opportunity to learn about automotive vehicles is inspiring to know that I can help my mom and my sisters with all of their car needs. I also can take on this skill to teach others and also my family when I begin to start one. I feel as if this industry is for people who also want to help others and solve problems which is something I'm passionate about. This industry also has good job security so you don't have to worry if you are going to be able to find a job or not. There is plenty of work around dealing with automotive that needs to be done so it's a fair share of opportunity for anyone around the world.
