I am a first-generation student pursuing a career in medicine while balancing academic achievement, clinical work, and community service. Throughout my journey, I have consistently taken on multiple responsibilities to support both my professional goals and my family. I have worked as a medical scribe in high-volume clinical settings, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, where I served as the primary Spanish-speaking bridge between physicians and patients. This role required me to manage fast-paced patient care while ensuring effective communication for underserved populations. In addition to my work experience, I have remained deeply committed to service. I have volunteered in medical clinics, worked with underserved communities, mentored students, and participated in outreach programs providing care and education to disadvantaged populations. Outside of my academic and professional responsibilities, I have taken on significant personal responsibilities within my family, often serving as the primary advocate in healthcare settings due to language barriers. These experiences have strengthened my resilience, time management, and commitment to pursuing a career dedicated to patient advocacy and equitable care. As I continue my medical training, I remain committed to balancing these responsibilities while working toward becoming a physician who serves and uplifts underserved communities.
