I’m not really a tv person but when I find a good show I’ll binge it for a good 4 -6 months. One show that I continuously watch would be The Crown. This show illustrates Queen Elizabeth LL’s early reign to the present, it shows an intimate connection into her life and the British monarchy. I’ve always been a sucker for history, so when it comes to tv shows it gives me a personal perspective of what happened and it affects the present moment. The reason why the world is what it is today. The Crown" is amazing for a million of different reasons . It utilizes close attention to historical detail and accuracy so the people can get a better understanding. The writers have taken into considerable of special episodes that help portrays the political and personal discussions of their lives as monarchs, to capturing the essence of the eras they have depict. Every element, from the majesty of royal events to the subscriber of private talks, helps in creating an informative and entertaining experience of history. While protesting the historical facts of the British monarch, the actors and actress who have worked in this series are outstanding. Queen Elizabeth II, Olivia Colman and Claire Foy, respectively, are special and powerful women. A strong cast, led by Matt Smith as Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, brought out their emotions. The historical characters they represent are given depth by their ability to portray different emotions and relationships, which makes them seem both real and meaning. The dialogue capture the essence of the historical periods when providing Princess Diana shows so much power when portraying important themes such as duty, power, and personal sacrifice. The show's writing is equally impressive, fusing historical events making it seem so natural. Princess Diana's transformation from a reserved schoolteacher to a worldwide icon with purpose . The show brilliantly shows Diana's inner consolation, including her battles with the royal family and media interference, with its storytelling and period elements. A thorough examination of her personal sacrifices and her global significance. Showing the impact storyline between Prince Charles and Princess Diana shows their true relationship outside the public what led to her meaningful death. This combination makes it so entertaining and a nature connection between the characters and settings. Showing the monarch secrets from the public eye and how much it affects them as a person. All of these effects shows how much love I have for this show and how much it affects my life. Watching this show makes me think about what other people go through outside the public eye such as celebrities or public figures. So much goes into this world and being a person. You should definitely watch this show.

My name is journey Osborne and I’m the second youngest to eight children. I grew up in a huge family that has made tons of bad choices in their lives which cause tons of regret. I am a first generation female in my family to go to college and earn a bachelor degree. I’ve always had a brilliant mind as to being accepted into top schools and given the opportunities to enhance my knowledge of the world. I have suffered from mental health issues that has caused many setbacks in my path of success but I’m hoping to change that and continue my education. Going into my senior year I was complex on what career I wanted to do. At first it was to be a doctor, being influenced by tv shows like Chicago Med and Greys anatomy but I knew straight away that wasn’t the career for me. As I continued to do classes, my physics teacher introduced a new meaning behind science and technology while talking to us about his life at NASA as an engineer. These moments really cherished with me and led me to engineering. As I continued to do my research , while there are several engineering specialties that may match a person's personality, aerospace engineering was my personal favorite. Since the design of aircraft and spacecraft incorporates both mechanical and material science principles, I found the space background to be quite fascinating. The frontiers of technology and human exploration are pushed by aerospace. striving to reach new heights in aviation and deepening our understanding of the atmosphere of space. Education is an important component when it comes to personal development and learning the outcomes of the globalization. My goal is to use my STEM education to create ideas to help benefit society and raise people’s standards of living. Making better access for people to understand the conditions of the world we’re living in and how to make things livable . There things outside the earth that aren’t being discovered and I want to be the one to make it happen. The combination of technology with arts can result in ground breaking information in interview media that helps transform entertainment and learning . Having different standpoints in technology that’s constantly growing and evolving minds outside the atmosphere is something that needs to be a decision on developing minds. I hope that continuing my education allows me to help create more knowledge on the outbreak of society and make technology better when it comes to traveling out of earths atmosphere and helping people wising their minds to new information.

I believe one of my greatest achievements would be going into college. I would be the first person in my family to attend college and earn a degree. Most people in my family didn’t go to college due to financial difficulties or due to family circumstance. It’s really important to me that I break the cycle and set an example for the future generations. I grew up seeing many people struggle when it comes to jobs and required living due to their finances. Having to choose between keeping a house or feeding their kids. At an early age, I was living in a two bedroom with two bathrooms house with 12 people living there. It was hard because you’re sharing a space with multiple people who are struggling to keep it together. My mom was layed off from her job which caused my dad to work extra hours plus get a second job as a custodian. Growing up seeing other people struggle made me want to better myself and focus on academics. I excelled in my studies as I got accepted into these high level schools, keeping my GPA up. I got into the Honor Society all four years of school for math, English , and science while creating events for BSU and the music club. I made it onto the robotics club, variety basketball and flag football as quarterback. All of these achievements have led me to become the best person I can be and set myself up for success. I plan on going to Mississippi state for aerospace engineering with a concentration in astronomical. As I began in to do some research, I found out that this field requires designing, instructing, and testing spacecrafts and other systems the operate above the Earth’s surface. Developing operations such as satellites, space probes, and exploration cars for missions of other planets. Choosing a career in Aerospace requires tons of hard work and motivation as a creating is pushing through boundaries of human knowledge and technology, and a passion for unique challenges in different space missions that require more work and dedication. Each person has a task to do when it comes to making a mission successful such as developing guidance, navigation, and control systems that helps the travelers ensure the safe and precise operation of the explorations in space. There are tons of career opportunities for aerospace engineers in government space agencies (NASA or ESA). Research institutions, and space exploration companies such as SpaceX or Blue Origin. These are magnificent teams build from engineering, astronauts and scientists that work together in the decisions making and coming up with solutions that helps with the same goal in making these creations and technology developments. Being apart of these would be groundbreaking in helping me further research and passion in finding true self. My mom has always told me that I have a mind for greatness and I hope I continue to hold those standards high. These achievements helped lead me towards my future and becoming a mentor for other younger women who want to excel the life and the STEM world.

Innovators of Color in STEM Scholarship
My understanding with using science and technology in the world is what led me to a career of engineering. I'm a new freshman and I've always been fascinated by how STEM fields solve difficult instances and reveal the secrets of the universe. Being a person of color growing up, I was constantly aware of the lack of representation in these fields. This deficiency drives me to succeed but also to encourage and open doors for anyone who might have such challenges as myself. As a child, I was enrolled in specific schools in order to achieve academic excellence. My mother always complimented me on my intelligence, which has caused me to excel in some courses more than others. I've always aspired to develop into something that will ultimately be advantageous. I used to think I would like to be a nurse or a doctor, but after studying classes like chemistry, I realized I wasn't cut out for it, plus I don't like the way blood looks. That made me consider my alternative options, which eventually brought me to engineering. While doing my research I came across the lack of representation in certain fields. Even though it’s since as a male dominant field, it’s always important to have diversity. By promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM, I aim to change something. I believe that representation is extremely important, and I hope to serve as an inspiration and mentor to upcoming generations of underrepresented scientists and engineers. I want to encourage underrepresented communities to pursue their aspirations in STEM professions through outreach programs, mentorship initiatives, and active participation in diversity organizations. Being a woman of color increases your risk of experiencing racial discrimination or being passed over frequently, which can make you feel alone and like an imposter. It takes a great deal of resiliency and resolve to overcome prejudice and misconceptions. In addition, I want to support aerospace technology research and development with an emphasis on innovative and sustainable space exploration. My goal is to make a significant contribution to the field by creating sustainable propulsion technologies, improving spacecraft design, and encouraging international cooperation in space missions. Being a person of color, I am aware of the difficulties and strength it takes in these opportunities to bring about change. In order to build upon the diversity and equitable future in aerospace or any field in STEM, it’s important to tear down in barriers and look for the positive solutions. My STEM journey is not about me reaching my goal, but about leaving as a mentor to other minorities and help others aim high to pursue their dreams.

C.L. Scholarship of Black Women in Engineering
Katherine Johnson , one of the amazing “Hidden Figures” whose story was made history through books and films, is one of the most inspirational African American women working in science and engineering. Mechanical and Aerospace engineering has made a impactful change by her remarkable contribution to NASA space missions and work as a mathematician. Katherine Johnson’s story is one of dedication and achievement obstacles in the time of severe gender and racial prejudices. Important missions, including Apollo 11 to the moon in 1969 and John Glenn's orbital trip in 1962, depended heavily on her math abilities . Johnson's work serves as an excellent example of the importance of mathematical accuracy in guaranteeing space mission safety and success, which has direct impact on mechanical and aeronautical engineering. Inspired by Katherine Johnson, one can adopt several strategies to achieve success in mechanical and aerospace engineering. First, a commitment to continuous learning and excellence in education is essential. Johnson’s story highlights the importance of a strong educational needs. Despite the obstacles she faced, her determination inspired me to practice math, which helped her rise to prominence at NASA. As an inspiring engineer, I believe it's critical to put education first, look for difficult classes, and pursue lifelong learning in order to stay abreast of developments in techniques and technology. It’s important to understand the struggle of Johnson who worked in a a segregated setting where people frequently disregarded her opinions due to her gender and race. Working in a male-dominated industry where your ideals aren't given as much weight as others makes it difficult to understand the world we live in. She remained however, understanding the importance of her work. This resilience is essential for achieving my goal, as I may encounter my own set of difficulties at work or with technical issues. As Johnson demonstrated, overcoming obstacles and keeping going can result in amazing accomplishments. Throughout this film there are tons of African American women who’s brains comes together and build something that’s life changing. It’s understandable that things such as NASA doesn’t happen with just one person. Engineering projects require a great deal of teamwork and good communication, especially in the aerospace industry. This emphasizes the goal of developing interpersonal skills and learning how to function well in diverse teams in order to accomplish shared objectives. In my goals of wanting to become two time winning engineer in both fields, it requires me to become intellectual and physical ready for the world around me. It’s not just for my present but also for the future generations. Being an engineer has always been a passion of mine even though it’s not seen as a woman’s job. These stereotypes have always been used to tell people of who they’re not meant to be but if you keep pushing towards greatness it helps find the path towards individuality in the small world. Anybody wishing to work in mechanical or aeronautical engineering might find great motivation from Katherine Johnson's life and career. She demonstrates the way to success in various industries with her work, courage, and intelligence. Like Johnson accomplished in her incredible career, determined engineers can overcome challenges and realize their goals in becoming unstoppable engineers for women in STEM.
Reasons To Be - In Memory of Jimmy Watts
Growing up, I never really comprehended the difficulties that other minorities encounter. I've always lived with my parents because I'm African American, so I've never had to worry about money or not having enough food for tomorrow. They have always encountered challenges along the road, but they have always succeeded in overcoming them. Rather than living in a compact apartment, I was housed with four other children. My parents were always pushing me to go to school, so I went to a magnet school. Stated differently, I felt superior to other children since I was spared from their suffering. Upon entering high school, my viewpoint changed. My mother forced me to join this young sorority, which was a part of an HBCU Zeta Phi Beta, when I was in middle school. These women are extremely happy to see positive changes in the community, particularly in the lives of young African American women. We made several trips as a group to various communities to assist those in need. We have established organizations that provide clean water for livelihood and sanitation to those who are unable to obtain it for themselves. We went to offices during COVID to make food and supply bags for the unlucky individuals who lost their jobs at this time. People found it extremely difficult to provide for their families and themselves, so we wanted to at least try to help during that difficult time. We packed school supplies into backpacks for the young students who could afford them before classes started. crammed with pens, pencils, easels, makers, and a myriad of other items. We also created humorous cards that you can give to strangers to lift their spirits. These kinds of things have always been a part of my life, ever since I was eleven years old. I still look for ways to help others in any way I can. I've spent more than 40 hours in school tutoring various students in various math subjects because I want them to understand the subject matter, which can be challenging. To me, there's nothing more valuable than helping someone pass an exam even if they didn't have that much self-confidence. Something I’m fully working on in my future career is being an aerospace engineer. Aerospace engineering for me is the idea of focuses on developing motion control systems for automobiles, ships, aircraft, and spacecraft to facilitate faster human space travel. There is a certain satisfaction that comes with the work, despite the hardships. Creating something that’s used daily on the science department that’s so generated in space. Allowing people to see something that’s so naked to the eye to life. I’ve always dealt with minor panic attacks which leads to chaos. I spent years looking for a way to prevent these kinds of meltdowns before realizing the advantages of building with Legos. I was completely engrossed in these pieces, creating rockets, towers, and other mental health-improving structures. It has been observed that engineering spaces can occasionally alter brain activity and encourage meditative states. When people have the opportunity to use their hands, their minds can take their focus away from the many outside distractions. Some engineers, if you speak with them, would tell you that building engines or rockets makes them forget about stress and other problems in their surroundings. They even have the ability to think up original solutions for mental health problems.
      Book Lovers Scholarship
Green Eggs and Ham, written by Dr. Seus, is one book that I think everyone in the world should read. One of my childhood favorites was this book. I loved all the colors and animation that went into this production when I was a little girl. Being your aunt, I started telling the younger kids about this in the hopes that it would amuse them as much as it did me. I discovered something new as I started reading this story again. It highlights how vital it is to distinguish between beliefs and emotions. It addresses how detail is created and transmitted in a middle-class setting. Introduce the problem of food's existence throughout the entire book since society has a particular conception of what food is. In other cases, people may read something and conclude without fully comprehending what is happening. People base their choices on what is presented to society. These result in two distinct modes of thought, with one offering the knowledge and emotions that can influence a person's choice. The other is predicated on the concept that emotions aren't necessary to fully comprehend something's actual meaning. Making decisions is simple and doesn't take as much effort as pondering. Without even realizing it, our brains are programmed to make rapid decisions about the actions, feelings, and physical characteristics of different things. The assumption that "understanding" is more intense on the brain and necessitates in-depth thought is regarded to be true. Judging is essentially an attempt to establish a hierarchy of superior and inferior, or to establish the value of anything. It reflected our desire to be in the right as well as the perception of the world as requiring us to be something other than the various facets of society. We observe the character's incessant judgment of things throughout the book without ever giving them a chance to register in the brain. It's the notion of being hesitant to break from social norms. Even with that restrictive process, it enables others to improve their lives. Not simply for the amusing illustrations, but also for the words inscribed on those brief pages, I think this book has the power to change anyone's life. By understanding the genuine value of being open to fresh insights and information that is immediately in front of their minds, I think everyone can change their perspective for the better.
      Disney Super Fan Scholarship
Growing up with no cable was very hard since we didn’t have enough money for it. The only time i was able to watch anything Disney was at my grandmothers house which wasn’t very often. When i was around 10 years old my brother got a job at Comcast which allowed us to have cable in our house for the first time. When i tell you this was like an early Christmas. I was able to watch all the Disney movies from Mickey Mouse to Avatar. To me Disney was important by portrayed many people reflective of the world’s diversity. They made it their purpose to make different characters of color that are relatable to young African Americans such as myself. By hiring diverse voices, artists, animators, to create a life for all different religions, races, and languages. I enjoy how they include different subjects that affect humanity in todays world. From the diverse relationships to the LGBTQ community. While others admired the Disney princesses I related more to the villains instead. In the Disney movies, villains are portrayed as selfish, deceiving, and wholeheartedly evil. They care for nothing but power and relish in the suffering of others especially the protagonist. I believe the complete opposite. In the year of 2023, the remake of The Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey was introduced. She was the first black girl to represent Ariel which was a very important moment. While watching the movie, I admired the singing and the magical creatures of the sea. I understand why people like watching Ariel I mean she’s a beautiful girl with an amazing voice that captured the heart of the prince. Such an original love story. I on the other hand was leaning more towards Ursula. I mean ,I understand why people didn’t like her. She manipulated Ariel into giving up her voice to be something she always wanted, but what’s wrong with that. I just saw it as her giving into Ariel’s desire, but we all know things always comes with a price. In the entire movie she was seen as this evil person but I believe she wasn’t always that way. I saw her as being misunderstood by the world. In that moment I completely related to her. My whole life I felt I was misunderstood by my family and society. I wasn’t like other black people. I enjoyed Kpop , going to school. With all these things I was known as being the weird cousin. My family constantly reminded me that I’m different from other people. This caused me to lose self confidence in myself. After some time I realized that I’m just being my natural self. I’ve spent my life living through the eyes of other people and not myself. With villains I believe they are just misunderstood. I believe they aren’t necessary evil, but everyone around assume they are “bad” due to their ideals and goals that might not connect to theirs. If you think about it they could be considered heros in the movies because they lead the protagonist onto their right destination. There’s that one person who’s willing to do the nasty work. They’re interpreted as being more intelligent than the hero character. They use their intelligence that gives the protagonist power to outwit physical strength which relates back to me, using my intelligence to get to a place where I want to be and stand out without a care about the thoughts of others. They provide a safe place for me to explore the dark side of my personality where I feel relaxed and determined.

Due to the history of slavery, African Americans have endured years of harsh treatment and rejection because of the color of their skin. African Americans lived through their master under slavery and were treated more like property than people. As a result, it was forbidden for slaves to have a means of obtaining freedom. African Americans continued to face discrimination even after slavery was abolished as a result of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. The creation of the Jim Crow Laws, which were used to enforce segregation in the South and restrict African Americans' human rights, took place over time. During this time, leaders like Martin Luther King and Malcolm X worked to transform the world so that people of all races may live in peace and love. Segregation in the South was made illegal by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 later that day, on July 2. These historical eras are significant because they led to the present day when African Americans are still facing discrimination worldwide. The criminal justice system has continued to be a problem in the Black community throughout the 20th century. Many people have experienced injustice and prejudice just because of the color of their skin. Numerous instances of African Americans being falsely accused of crimes and imprisoned because of the color of their skin have been documented. Due to the cruelty and pride that come with the profession, some people, like George Floyd, passed away at the hands of police officers. Due to the perception that has been spread around the world, which makes people more anxious and occasionally violent, many African Americans have a reputation for being aggressive and violent. A similar viewpoint regarding blacks is shared by white criminal justice personnel. Records show that 46% of those incarcerated were African Americans, with 54% of attempted robberies and 47% of murders committed. This source claims that this has demonstrated how the black community's reputation has been damaged by the aggressiveness displayed toward it. Due to this, black people are more frequently frisked and accused of drug trafficking or murder than an average white man. A young black man will frequently be falsely accused of anything without any supporting evidence. Nevertheless, bias against people of color exists in the criminal judicial system. Black people frequently receive severe penalties, including the death penalty, whereas white people are given bonds or fines to pay. I want to major in aerospace engineering, but I also want to double major in criminal justice so that I can completely see how the justice system affects African Americans as well as other races. Due to poor representation, the majority of black people going through the system end up being wrongly imprisoned without any supporting evidence. With this degree, I would be able to defend the weak and assist people who experience social injustice. Since they are frequently examined, many black people are undoubtedly incarcerated for offenses that might have been addressed without a conviction or never belonged there in the first place. I intend to combat discrimination by influencing other people's perspectives.

I never fully understood growing up the struggles that other minorities face. As a African American, I've always lived with my parents, so I've never had to worry about having enough food for tomorrow or paying the bills. There have always been difficulties along the way, but they have always managed to get through. Instead of a small apartment, I shared a home with four other kids. My parents always encouraged me to acquire an education, so I attended a magnet school. In other words, I felt entitled because I didn't have to suffer like other kids. Once I started high school, that perspective shifted. It’s aware that everything changes once you enter high school. People can lose they’re identity and transform into someone else . I was the complete opposite. I just wanted to go to school, receive the degree, and make a life for myself. I was known for being a social butterfly. I did really well in all classes, but math was the one subject I had trouble with. Math is something that I absolutely despise. Even though I resented math, I managed to get into the Mul Alpha Theta Math Society at my school. It's a honors program that was developed to assist others in gaining access to tutors who may assist them with academics. I didn't view it that way since anyone could work for their grades. I was given the task of tutoring a girl in the same math class as me during one of the sessions. I was a little concerned about teaching because I wasn't sure I could teach someone else. She found it difficult to solve linear equations that involved multiplication in one of the parts. When I questioned her about the subject, she told me that her previous teachers had never really given her the basics she needed to succeed. I came to the realization that I had judged her so harshly simply because she didn’t receive the same education I did. As soon as I realized this, I sat down with her and reviewed everything from scratch, using techniques to ensure that she understood everything. We developed a bond during this experience. I was always willing to lend a hand if she needed it. I started helping other students during school after that, going from only helping one student. I see people who don't value the same privileges as me differently because to my volunteer work. I was able to appreciate people while also helping those that needed it. One thing I discovered about myself is to not pass judgment on others too quickly, especially if you are unaware of their circumstances. Through volunteering, I was able to demonstrate greater empathy and comprehend others' perspectives. I discovered a new skill and something about myself .Due to this, individuals from all backgrounds, including myself, were able to interact and learn more about one another. I developed a new perspective on life. I would be able to continue helping people due to this scholarship, and it would also help me get the education I need to join the air force as an engineer, which would enable me to serve people all over the world. Even if my household only has two people, it's still difficult for me to go. Since my parents have always put a lot of effort into their lives, I hesitate to ask for anything. My parents wouldn't have to worry about paying for college, so I could do something. This can demonstrate to myself that, if I put my mind to it, I can accomplish anything.
