Bio

Hello, my name is Josie, and if you do not find me spending time with friends and family, you will most likely find me cuddled up with my cats and a great romance book (Emily Henry is my favorite!). I plan to attend a college that prioritizes STEM, especially the inclusion of women in STEM. I am passionate about the study and treatment of cancer due to my father's diagnosis of Colorectal cancer in late 2021, which was quite devastating, but it ultimately led me here. As someone who cares deeply about family, I am attracted to the idea of being an oncologist who could aid individuals in a situation like my father's. I am a devoted Catholic and attend church weekly, and I have been on one Catholic Heart Work Camp mission trip with my church. My best fit is in leadership positions, and I am currently the president of Mississippi DECA and my school's spirit club, Dog Pack. I am also a senior editor for my school's newspaper, The Paw Print.
