Hi, my name is Josie Marshall and I am a senior at LEAD Innovation Studio; a mastery and project based school. I enjoy coming up with creative solutions to problems and meeting people’s needs. I’ve worked on several projects revolving around architecture and interior design which has fueled my interest in this career field. Outside of academics, I also enjoy making art, participating in sports, and doing volunteer work. Helping people in need is very important to me and I strive to become an architect so I can design solutions to current problems. I’m super excited to have this opportunity because I’m determined to make a difference by becoming a woman in STEM. Currently, there is a lot of stigma around women in STEM and I want to prove to myself and others that I can be just as successful as other people in the same field. Next year I’ll be attending the University of Kansas and major in Architecture!
