Advanced high school graduate with a strong academic record with extensive participation in my school's performing arts program. As a section leader in the marching band, I demonstrated leadership skills by fostering a positive group dynamic, and leading by example. As a member of student council, I advocated for the student body by collaborating with administrators on student-led initiatives. Combining my passion for music and academics, I tutor younger students in instrumental, core subjects, and Spanish. In addition to school, music performance and private music lessons, I enjoy volunteering with the SPCA, horseback riding, and working as a certified lifeguard during the summer. Now that I've graduated, I'm looking forward to returning to my high school marching band camp in July to mentor the next-generation of section leaders before joining the Marching Royal Dukes and starting college in August. As the rigor of my academic and music studies allow, I will be utilizing my Federal Work Study hours to volunteer with community service projects surrounding campus. My career goals are to work in a professional field helping people through music.
