When I was just twelve years old, my father, brother and I were kicked out of my stepmothers house. All of our family was in New York but we were trapped In Mississippi with nowhere to stay and not enough money to leave the state. Eventually we walked till we found a motel cheap enough for us to live there for a few months, there were rats, and the people were constantly fighting in the parking lot, however it became my life for three long months. One day my dad contacted my aunt asking if she could help buy bus tickets so we can get out of the state she said she could cover half. My dad worked under the table for a construction company, long hours every day just to keep the motel room. I learned to cook because he'd come home so exhausted all he could do is lay down and pass out. Still with all his hard work he couldn't make enough money to cover half. to help him I made a Facebook marketplace account and sold my bike and my PlayStation, it still wasn't enough. I took half of the money made and bought a tool kit and some old game consoles that didn't work, I figured if I could flip these consoles I'd be able to make the money I no time. I learned everything I could about repairing every device i bought but after the first few consoles I made a almost three hundred dollars. me and my dad had a system I'd give him a quarter of the profits to keep the motel room, a quarter to save for the tickets and I'd use the other half to buy more consoles and parts. it took three months since I started flipping consoles, but eventually we saved up enough for a ticket to New York. We met up with my aunt and she gave us a place to stay but I didn't stop flipping consoles yet. i sold everything you can think of, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox. seeing inside of some of the oldest gaming consoles ever is truly amazing. I fell in love with repairs like these, people from my new school would ask me to repair any broken electronics they had. I had moved past just gaming consoles onto anything I could get my hands on, eventually however things calmed down and I stopped i flipping all together, but I still repair my friends electronics if they need
