Bio

I am a young, resilient, driven individual with a heart filled with determination and dreams. My life's goal/passion is to someday become a well-known composer for music within video games. For the past 5 years I've been playing the piano and delving deep into music theory, gradually honing my skills and abilities to compose pieces fitting for this or that video game scenario. Although I'm confident in my abilities to write these songs, I know there's still plenty of work and a long road ahead of me before I can fully achieve my dreams. That's why I'm pursuing higher education in video game development and music technology, to farther push myself and gain even more knowledge/experience within this field I'm so passionate about.

Title: Those We've Lost https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/CQDMK First and foremost, I'm currently attending George Mason University to pursue a career in musical composition for video games and films. This is a song I've created for a hypothetical video game soundtrack. There wasn't any one video game I had in mind, but more of a theme that I followed throughout the making of the song. That being of a battle resulting in a sorrowful victory. A hard-fought clash that while our heroes are victorious from in the end, major sacrifices had to be made to achieve this victory. This song is one of many I plan to compose throughout my musical journey.

Before establishing my passion for producing music, I more or less felt lost in my life. I didn't feel like I really had an end-goal, nor did I have a real drive or motivation for my future. But once I realized how deep my passion for composing music runs, I felt as though I instantly found "my thing" in life. To answer the initial question, this is what being an artist means to me. Establishing a passion that you just can't let go of. A love for the arts that calls out to you when you're lost in the dark and not sure where to go with your life. To be clear, I plan to someday compose music for video games. With me already separately loving both music and video games, melding the two together seemed to only make sense. For as long as I've been able to remember, I've always loved casually listening to the soundtracks of my favorite video games. Within the past few years, this casual love has steadily grown into inspiration. I've found myself paying closer attention to the specific instruments and their roles within a song more than I used to. I started to wonder why this certain instrument has this role or why does this instrument always instills a certain emotion whenever it's played. And over time, my curiosity and wonder about the ins and outs of these songs developed into a desire to create my own songs and sounds. I feel as though this was the start of my connection. While I've always loved the music, becoming inspired by it is what kickstarted my passion to create it myself. As I've said, I found my drive and motivation in life through music. I wouldn't have found something I'm so passionate about had it not been for the songs people have created for me to listen to. I would love to do the same thing for an aspiring artist. To create a change for future generations, I want my music to someday motivate someone who feels lost on their musical journey and enable them to discover their passion just as my favorite songs have done for me.
